Do you cook? Bake? I cook dinner a lot and I need some new recipes.

Easy, fast recipes.

aaahh food, one of my main loves in life.

i love food. probably too much
by the way i eat i should weigh 500 lbs and be carried around on a forklift.

i cant cook though, not at all.
i can barely make kraft dinner without somehow ruining it.
and baking? don't get me started.

i once tried to make my boyfriend chocolate chip cookies, the recipe called for oatmeal, but i thought i would just leave that out, because who likes oatmeal in their chocolate chip cookies?
turns out that is a VERy important part of the recipe....the cookies turned into black sludge.

i often wonder when i get married and am expected to cook likea chicken or raost beef or something....what on earth will i do?!

Do you drain the potatoes before you add the sausage or just add it into the water?

I love to cook, I'm just not allowed to

Once, I left the toaster oven on, I thought you just had to press the off button but NOOOO, you had to un-plug it. Now my dad doesn't trust me with the stove or anything by myself. If I'm home alone, I need to call and ask permission if I can make macaroni and cheese on the stove.

This is what I mean Jenny

I cook on the stove by myself all the time at my mom's. Her fiance teaches me to cook, and he's a wonderful one himself

Her fiance sounds wonderful. I'm not sure what to say, in the end you will make the decision that sounds best to you.

Nope, don't drain the potatoes. Just add the can of milk to them. Be sure to only cover the potatoes in water when you put them on to cook though.

He is, he's soo caring and thoughtful
I think I'm moving with her, I'll be happier

Yeah I think you will too. And it's great that you can just be yourself and not some alternate personality all the time. Both your mom and her fiance sounds great.

Thanks I might try to make that soup stuff, I like soup. :teeth: :ssst:

I tried something new tonight that I saw in a magazine...

preheat oven to 400 degrees

Brown 1 lb lean ground meat, 1 small onion & 4 slices of cut up bacon

Drain

Add 8 oz velvetta cheese, cut into blocks, stirring frequently untill all melted

Put aside

roll out a prepackaged refigerated pizza dough roll on a 15x9 baking pan

spread meat mixture evenly onto dough

roll dough (lengthwise) & arrange where seam will be under roll

bake for about 15-18 minutes

cut into thick slices

not much effort & it was really good.

this is what happens when me, my sister, and my friend gets together

That cake looks horrible.

So I found this really cool site... www.allrecipes.com

You just type something in like "Chicken" and it comes up with allll these recipes to go with it.

Just make a regular box of macaroni and cheese, then put it in a glass casserole dish, and empty a large can of diced tomatoes packed in water on top. Then crush about 12 Ritz crackers, and pour in a tbsp. of melted margarine, and mix until the crushed cracker is a bit moist, but not a paste :crazy2: Put the moistened crackers on top and put the casserole dish in the oven (375 degrees, I think) for about 20 minutes.

It's not a very precise recipe, and it's pretty hard to screw up. I think it tastes really good, and so do my brothers and sisters, when I make it for them. I don't make it from the box if I'm eating it, I really prefer homemade macaroni.

I have hundreds of recipes that I've compiled into a notebook, and I'll type some out for you later, when I find a minute. I'm going out somewhere in about five minutes. To narrow it down, what kinds of recipes are you looking for?
