Food you make or eat "wrong"

i'm told i make my enchiladas wrong b/c I use flour instead of corn tortillas.
Hmmm, I never thought about it. But checking a few of the Mexican restaurants near me, their menus all say flour tortillas. Only time I expect a corn wrapping is for tamales.

Really? I have never heard of enchiladas being made with flour.
I didn't check all their menus, but I have 30 Mexican restaurants within 2 miles of my house and the few I checked were flour. Either would be fine with me. And of course many of these claim to be "authentic". Most serve dishes that are spicier than I ever had in Mexico. And potato was in just about every kind of taco, enchilada, burrito I had in Mexico. Our hosts in Mexico warned us to avoid restaurants there that serve spicy food as that is a tip off to locals that they are using the spice to cover up rancid ingredients.

On the border here and in Mexico they use flour ...corn tortillas are an acquired taste and small and are used like a slice of bread or biscuits for scooting food.... I prefer corn over flour when having a choice on street tacos or such.... I am the only one in social circle that eat corn tortillas

Weird. Everything that I have heard is that flour tortillas are an American thing.

My daughter's husband is Hispanic. She learned to cook Mexican dishes from his nana. She makes enchiladas for us twice a month and always uses uncooked flour tortillas.

I eat sushi with a fork (no way can I fit that entire roll in one bite), I eat my fries with malt vinegar, mayo and ketchup... odd but delicious!

My husband loves hard pretzels w/ mustard as well.

I'm another who likes fries w/ tartar sauce but didn't realize that was terribly odd! Mayo, too.
I just finished tots with mayo... I am missing the left side of my face and ketchup seizes my throat and mayo is more of a swallowing lubricant
