I read that the food and wine festival will start on Sept 14 this year on wdwinfo. However the official Disney site doesn't have any dates listed yet. Since Sept 14 is on a Wednesday and the festival usually starts on a Friday, I'm wondering if this date is correct. Can anyone confirm the dates?

I just saw those dates on the Disney Blog, I would assume it is official since it was released by Disney. It is strange that it is scheduled to start on a Wednesday not a Friday, but maybe they are trying to have a less busy opening to get their staff up to speed. I'm visiting 9/17-10/1 so I am very excited it will be going on for my whole trip!

I think you are right on the Wednesday deal. My daughter was a College Program CM and worked it and told us it was a mess the first few days as it was all new for everyone.

Fingers crossed that it is so, my AP expires on Sept. 20 so I was going to have to renew to get to go, if those dates are rights, I'll get three trips in on one AP since I went to F&W last year, going to F&G this year and plan on going to F&W again next years.

Disney Food Blog reported those dates as well. I am thrilled because I'm going Sept. 16-22 and didn't expect to partake in F&WF again. I learned from last year and will avoid EWS on that first Saturday, but will enjoy it otherwise!
