My husband Lynn and I wanted to get a fast Food & Wine trip in without using more than 2 vacations days from work. I also was excited to try to the new multi lightning lanes and Individual selections and pre booking them all 7 days in advance. It was a great experience highly recommend. We had to get up at 4:30 am and left house by 4:55 am to drive to DFW airport took about. 30 minutes this early, traffic lighter still.

We parked and went in checked our bag and we both have TSA pre check so quickly in and went to Admirals lounge to wait. I had a cappuccino and got a yogurt to take on plane too early for me to eat yet. Lynn had an omelet but also took a yogurt and he had coffee.

We boarded on-time at 6:30 and had nice flight to Orlando landed 10:30 Orlando, got our bag quickly and met our Lyft to Caribbean Beach resort drop off bag with bell services and headed to Epcot. We love Food & Wine and trying some new things this time plus old favorites.

We went to Earth Eats first we each got the beef ribs on polenta; flavor was amazing mine was a little fatty then we shared lemon poppy cake which was good and light. Then we rode living with the land. Then Lynn was still hungry so he got a chicken stir fry in seasons in there. I tasted it but it was sweet and sour so I don’t like that but he did. I got a Powerade because of heat and being sweaty. I had got another lightening lane for Soarin once we scanned into living with land so time for that now. We got middle row so it was great ride Next we had to hurry to Figment for our lightening lane were 8 minutes past end time but I knew they allow up to 10 past. We had fun ride

Now we went to our Frozen Lightening Lane and had a great time. This reminds me of our trip to Norway 2 years ago, we went through shops after and I got a bottle of my favorite perfume, geesh the small bottle is $70 now but I guess worth it.
After that we decided to do more Food & Wine. We did Mexico first and both got the beef flautas, very good and shared the elote desert which was surprisingly good. Lynn got a poblano margarita he liked it but said not very spicy.. then he got beef noodle bowl at Noodles. I tasted it was pretty good. Next is brew wing lab. Lynn got the Carolina reaper wings, I did NOT taste this. He loves spicy but even he was sweating etc. I got the small elderberry Serrano hard cider, it was good. Lynn got the lager. But he had to go get the pickle milk shake to help with his after heat from wings. lol. I tasted it was okay I guess but I do really like dill pickles. I see why it sells though with those wings though to cool the heat.

From there it was time for our Guardian's lightening Lane. It was a great ride. This is our third time coming with it now. I think I am starting to see the different music, this time we got ‘one way or another’. After that we went to Moana Journey of water, first time here before it was too crowded. Then saw Walt statue and got pictures. Then last ride was LL for spaceship earth .

After this is was just after 7 and pouring. Our ponchos etc are still in our suitcase so we headed out anyways, and made it to our room, a little confusing to find we are in Aruba section was is great for Skyliner on second floor.

Everything in my pack back is soaked, I am soaked including all my clothes even our shoes, Lynn called for our luggage and we tried laying everything out to dry I jumped in hot shower and heard our luggage come so I was glad it didn’t take too long. I came out and unpacked and got some dry clothes etc.

It was a long fun, but exhausting day. I am so glad we got 6 attractions in with lightening lanes with zero waits. Food & Wine did not disappoint. I was glad for rain it soaked us but cooled us down but also uncomfortable being so wet. We were in bed by 9 pm.

Park Hollywood Studios

Today we woke up around 7:30 am just lazed around a bit. I brought protein bars from home for breakfast and the room coffee maker to drink. We showered and got ready and went to the center market for lunch and got back to room by noon. We were waiting to visit with our son who lives in Orlando. Our son Dylan and his wife Steph got here so we visited for about 3 hours then headed to Hollywood Studios We have first Lightening Lane for Tower of Terror, we had a fun ride then Noah our other son who live in Gainesville Florida came down for the weekend with his wife to meet his in laws at Disney texted they were in line for Rock n Roller coaster but line was about 1 1/2 hours so we all decided to skip. Noah and Sara ended up getting out of line too long. We ran into Sara’s parents Cheryl and Andreas, it’s Cheryl’s 65 birthday today . We visited and headed to Star Tours lightening lane then met up with everyone for our 5:30 dinner ADR at 50’s rime Time diner. We were seated about 5:45 and had a fun dinner.

After that we all had Toy Story Mania & Alien lightening lanes. I rode Alien with Dylan because Steph thought she might get sick on it then next Toy Story Mania then said good byes to Noah, Sara, Cheryl and Andreas they are staying off property hotel and are tired they had been here all day. The four of us did smugglers run next with LL Dylan and Lynn were the pilots. After that Slinky Dog was down, it has been down all day on and off so we used that Lightening Lane for Mickey and Minnie runaway railway, It was fun of course. It was sprinkling slightly and 8:30 pm so we decided to leave. Heat was better today going late in afternoon when there were a lot of clouds already, Lightening Lane was great we got to do all our favorites with no waits,

We are in room at 9:30 for the night, great day with our sons:)

am park AK pm Epcot

We slept well and were up by 7 am showered and had protein bars and coffee in room. We packed up and left by 8:30 for bus stop. We were quickly in park thru security shortly after 9 am. We love our room 5660 second floor in building 56 Aruba, we are close to bus stop and Riviera Skyliner. Perfect location I would request this building again.

Dylan texted they were running a bit behind. We knew Noah and Sara and her parents were here but we never ran into them, they were already on safari once we arrived. Since it is Cheryl’s birthday trip we won’t horn in on them, we just had a full 7 days with Noah and Sara in Alaska two weeks ago, we were just happy with the time yesterday, Lynn and I watched the bird flight show and went in gift shops to get a Halloween t shirt my cousin wanted. Then we went into Pandora and looked around rested until Dylan and Steph made it. We had 10:15 to 11:15 lightening lane for Flight of Passage I think we got on right about 11 am, they loved this it was their first time on, after that they left to do Safari standby by because the rest of our lightening lanes are in Epcot for late afternoon & evening. Lynn & I decided to head back to room since it was pretty hot and we already did everything we wanted in Animal Kingdom, it is our least favorite park & it always feels hottest. We stopped at bus stop for the central market for lunch and soon Dylan & Steph texted they were too hot and headed out too. They met us in Central Market and had some lunch too. We all just had a very light lunch because we were doing a full tour of Food & Wone in Epcot. I think they shared a kids chicken strip meal and we shared a burger.

After lunch they drove us to our room and we all went upstairs to cool down. We played a few board games Dylan brought and had fun visiting.

We left room for Skyliner about 3:30 and quickly on our way into Epcot. We had 3:40 to 4:40 Remy lightening lane. We always love this ride, so cute. Then we started our full tour of Food & Wine, France first I had some of the beef, then in Italy I had some of the meatball both were excellent the meatball was new for me. Then I had about half a flauta in Mexico. The rest are more adventurous and tried more things and had some drinks. Next it was time for Spaceship earth, then I got LL for Soarin and figment. Next LL is Finding Nemo, then Soarin, Figment then we stopped by Canada for more Food & Wine, surprisingly no one was in line on the side coming in so we got a filet to share and they got a beer. It was as good as I remembered. I think everyone enjoyed and lines were not bad at all in the Food & Wine booth’s.

It started raining now but we all had our ponchos and we headed to Skyliner. They have to work in morning so we said our goodbyes in parking lot and they headed home and we went upstairs to our room and in for night about 8:30 It was a great day.

Park Magic Kingdom

We woke up at 7 am we had called bell services last night to get our bags picked up at 8:15 am so we showered and dressed and packed up. . Lynn had given bags to bell services and we left room to catch bus but we just missed it and it showed next bus at 9:18and we have Tron lightening lane 9:15 to 10:15 so we called a Minnie van they were there in about 2 minutes and got us quickly to Magic Kingdom. We went through security and headed to Tron. We both loved it! It was our first time and excited to come back in December to ride again.

Next we have Haunted Mansion lightening lane followed by pirates of the Caribbean LL. We love these classics and so fast with lightening lanes. I looked but everything else I want to ride is like 3 or 4 pm like Peter Pan or Big Thunder. I could get Space but neither of us like it in WDW we both prefer it at Disneyland and rode it there in February so skipped it.

We went to our adr for Crystal Palace and had a nice lunch. Next is our Tiana’s lightening Lane this is our first time and we enjoyed it. Got a little wet though.

After that we rode train did a little shopping on Main Street I needed my 2025 calendar and we left by 1:40 and took bus back to Caribbean beach, got a Lyft to airport and we are all checked in, used our TSA pre check and are in admiral’s lounge waiting for flight home. Lynn got a beer I got a cappuccino.

Final thoughts: it was humid but did rain so made it bearable. It could be way worse than high 80’s so I think we were lucky. It was great with our sons and being with them. Lightning lanes are a must do for me, no patience for lines. We could have easily done way more if we stayed longer in parks. I loved preselecting all one week out.

Next trip Disney Cruise 6 night on the Fantasy triple dip to castaway cay twice and Lookout point once followed by Jollywood Nights in DHS in early November.

Loved read your Trip Report details. Thank you.
Years ago before we bought DVC, we stayed at CBR several times and liked it very much. There was no Skyliner at the time and I believe we always stayed in Martinique. (not sure if even still there or if it got demolished for Skyliner).
CBR is really a great location with the Skyliner now for sure. My fave mode of transportation, hands down.
