Well, if it was one of the foods at the kiosk, I should have the recipe (I bought the book). The only problem is that I have to find it. When I do, I'll post the recipe unless someone else beats me to it.
Since you want the recipe I'm going to assume this was yummy! It was one of the things I didn't get a chance to try, now I'm going to have to make it for sure. Here is the recipe from the little cookbook they were selling. Enjoy!
6 Servings
1/2 Pound Pancetta (Italian bacon or sliced bacon)
2 Each Egg Yolks (Beaten)
4 Cups Heavy Cream
1 Quart Olive Oil
1 Cup Parmigiano Cheese (Grated)
1 Tablespoon Italian Parsley (Chopped)
1 Pound Ziti Pasta, uncooked
Salt & Pepper to taste
Pasta
1. In a large pot add pasta to boiling water and cook uncovered for about 10 minutes or until "ak dente".
2. Drain pasta and put aside.
Carbonara Sauce
1. Cook the pancetta in a skillet with the olive oil until it becomes crispy; drain grease.
2. In a large bowl mix egg yolks, cream, parsley, salt and pepper until blended.
3. Cook cream mixture and 1/2 cheese over medium heat, stir constantly.
4. Combine pasta, warm cream and bacon in casserole. Top with remaining cheese and bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
