Hello - We are going to the Food and Wine Festival in October. I have never been before, although I have spent many visits at Epcot. Should we have dinner reservations or will we have enough food to make a meal by tasting at the different stands?

Thanks! Sandie B

when I went a couple of yrs ago I didn't make any dinner reservations, We just ate and tried it all. This yr we are catching just the last 4 days of it so I have made PS for every night, we'll eat lunch at the booths. :D

You can make a meal out of the samples you buy at the different booths, but the meal could be pretty spread out. The lines for the booths are sometimes pretty long. We only tried a couple of things, and then had a sit down dinner at Le Cellier

We go every year to food and wine and this year we didn't really make any ps's...just one or two--to celebrate our anniversary. You can definitely make a meal walking around...and you don't feel stuffed since you have time walking between the countries...:-) That's what we'll be doing this year!

We have done it both ways..although..we probably favor a dinner ps..because..after all the hot sun, walking around, waiting in line for the food samples..it is nice to sit down, kick back and enjoy a full meal brought to you at the end of the day.

Either way..you will have a great time.

Enjoy!

Since weekends are more crowded, we wouldn't plan to make a meal at the food booths on a weekend unless we were in the mood to stand in line and wait a lot (which we aren't). But we leisurely 'ate our way around the WS' twice in the evening on week nights --- only got 1/2 way around each time. Also did one lunch that way. We split many, many things, even thought it might only be 3-4 bites. We probably ate more than I realize, and who knows what it cost! Maybe we actually ate less because there was time inbetween the snacks and we were able to realize when we felt full.

Anyway, we had a great time and really liked almost everything we tried. We went back to some booths a second time. Last year was our first F&W, and we'd definitely do it again.

I would say not to make a reservation. My DH and I usually just walk around and around and around the loop all day eating. That way, we can skip some of the places with the longer lines and hit them at a different time when they may be less crowded. And at the end of the night we usually do a dessert lap!

Wow, does that sound like fun! Actually, I think I will make a dinner PS to be able to sit and relax for a while. We can always just order soup or salad. Thanks for all the feedback! Sandie
