Food & Wine Festival pics....

1. I think it had squid but it wasn't noticeable. It was all mixed together.
It was definitely squid! I could see every tenticle in the salad I had....and he was gooood!

Love the reviews and pictures! Thank you!

Bump...for those who are going and have not seen this thread yet.

We will be attending F&W for the first time too...:woohoo:

I have printed out the countries and menu's so I have an idea of what too try.

Portions don't look too bad at all.

Next week at this time we will be there.....

Again thanks for doing this.

Michelle

Oh my god....I wish I would have seen these pictures earlier than 8 days before we leave. I would have made an effort to cut back , maybe even try to lose a few pounds before we go to Epcot. Everything looks incredible!
THANKS!

USA BBQ Ribs and Cole Slaw - this was amazing, we got it a few times over our stay. The ribs were so tender the bone came right out and the flavor was delish. The coleslaw was very fresh and crisp, just enough dressing, not too wet.

USARib.jpg

USA Lobster Roll - this was horrible. We each took one bite and threw it away. There was so much pickle in it, ruined the flavor of the lobster.

USALobsterRoll.jpg

Turkey Pistachio Baklava - This was a very tiny bite and it was ok, nothing special

TurkeyBaka.jpg

Turkey Manti, Spiced Beef Ravioli with yogurt and paprika butter - This was awesome, we ate this a few times on our trip...very good stuff!

Turkey1.jpg

Poland Periogi with Keilbasa and Onions - This was very good, great flavor and not greasy at all.

Poland.jpg

Morocco Bastilla, chicken in pastry - This was disgusting. The outside was very dessert like and then you bite into this nasty dried out chicken filling, we threw it out too.

MorrocoChick.jpg

Mexico Chilaquiles, baked tortillas with chicken and cheese - This was to die for! We each had one and went back many times during the week. Large portion and it was so flavorful! Wish the CS place in Mexico served this all the time.

Mexico.jpg

Dominican Republic/Peru area - Mango Daquiri. WOW! This was amazing. They had Banana (the people were returning it because they said it was too bitter), Passionfruit and Mango. The mango was DH choice and did he do good! It was like eating a very fresh and ripe mango with a rum chaser! Again, this was just one of many on our trip :rotfl:

Ireland Boxty Potato Pancake with Bacon Chips and KerryGold Garlic and Fresh Herb Butter - this was nothing special. The butter was frozen hard and did not melt on the pancake.

Ireland.jpg

India, Indian Rice and Coconut Pudding - GROSS! I actually had to spit this out it was so bad. Horrible sour taste to it.

India.jpg

Greece, Greek Salad and Spanokopitta - This was out of this world fantastic! We had this 3 times during the week. The feta cheese was so soft and creamy and the olives had quite a kick to them. The spanokopitta was so good, crammed full of cheese and spinach.

Greecefoods.jpg

Germany, Spaetzel with Creamy Mushroom Ragout - awesome! First time we had it the spaetzel was hard and crunchy but the next 2 times we ordered it, wow it was super good and the portions were very large, HUGE mushrooms with tons of flavor.

GermanySpatz.jpg

Germany Apple Strudel - my all time favorite, I could like the plate clean!

GermanyApple.jpg

Germany Sausage and Sauerkraut on a Pretzel Roll - the first time we ordered it the sausage was dried out and the roll was hard but the other times it was perfect!

Germany.jpg

France Escargot en Brioche - Now I have never tried escargot before but this was slap your mamma good! DH and I are now huge escargot fans.

FranceEscar.jpg

FranceEsc2.jpg

England Ice Tea Stand - We had the Honeybush, Lady Gray and Indian Chai teas during our stay and they were all fabulous and very refreshing. They also all look the same so I just took one pic

EnglandTea.jpg

Dominican Republic Coconut Flan - this was very light and flavorful but not big in size...hence the reason we bought 2!

Dominican.jpg

Chile Tomato Corn and Garbanzo Bean Stew - the portion was huge and this was delicious. Very flavorful and filling.

Chile.jpg

Argentina Spicy Beef Empanadas - this was not spicy to me but it was big on flavor and size, we liked it alot

Argentina.jpg

South Africa Durban Chicken - this was out of this world and we ate it many times on our trip. It was served on a little grit cake thing that combined with the sauce was great!

thank you, MickeyNicki, for those WONDERFUL photos!

there were even a few i hadn't considered trying, but they actually look better in the photo!

and that mexico chilaquiles looks like slop, but everyone who gets it seems to rave about how it tastes - guess i'm going to try it next weekend, too!

again - great photos and thanks!

(and your phrase "slap your mama good!" had me laughing! now i'll be saying it all day....)

Awesome photos and reviews! Thanks for posting them.

Did you notice that the escargot en brioche on the plate is a Hidden Mickey?

Excellent pics & Posts. Just came back and enjoyed tasting a suberb Wolf Blass gold Label Wine which could be purchased for $30.00. I would like to purchase this now but I can't remember if it was a Gold Label Shiraz or Cab. If anyone tried this outstanding wine and can remember wheter it was a Cab or Shiraz I would greatly appreciate you letting me know.
Thanks in advance!
