Food & Wine & Feeling Fine: An October 2015 Dining Report (COMPLETE!)

Loved your review & your pics were incredible! I had some of the same experiences at F&W last fall. Loved that Liquid Nitro Chocolate Almond Truffle. Prob the best of the all new offerings last year. I've always been disappointed with Morocco and Italy at F&W. Just sad. Morocco's year round restaurants at Epcot are very, very good. Tangierine Cafe is a fav on the Boards. Restaurant Marrakesh doesn't get as much love but I love their lunch offerings when looking for a less $ TS option. And Italy should be so much better at F&W. Italian food is to die for but not at F&W. Sigh. Thought the Belgian savoury waffle was unique & tasty. So all in all, F&W had its highs and lows. And I absolutely agree with how fantastic MNSSHP is! Last Fall was also my first time at the party & it was an absolute home run. One of the few hard ticket events that I would pay for again. Thanks again for your incredible report & the chance to walk down memory lane! Looking forward to any reports to come. You are one incredible poster! Two thumbs way up! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Thanks so much, samsteele! I had a great time writing the report and I'm glad you enjoyed it. :yay:

Totally agree that Italy should do a better job at F&W...Italian seems like it should be one of the easiest cuisines to make tasty in large quantities. Don't understand how it goes so wrong! Also agree about Tangierine Cafe...just visited for the first time in December and thought the food was really fresh. It was a really nice change of pace after some other heavy meals. Mel and I found a little nook in the Morocco pavilion behind the cafe and it was a beautiful quiet place to eat and relax. I haven't tried most of the other food in Morocco except for when I went to what I assume was Restaurant Marrakesh when I was ten. I remember liking the belly dancing but hating the food! Luckily I'm a little less picky nowadays...:upsidedow

Don't be worried . . . just enjoy! I love WDW solo. I get to do what I want, when I want and w/o dealing with anyone else's concerns or problems. What park are you planning to solo? They are all incredible for solo guests & you really can't go wrong. If you are a rope drop person, make the most of it & do all the rides & attractions that are special to you. Have a great time! ps solo dining whether at CS or TS is easy. Let me know if you have any specific concerns. I haven't been to either the Plaza or Via Napoli solo. Have enjoyed both but some yrs ago with one of my nieces. Again, have a great time!

Glad to hear you've had good experiences with solo touring. I've been intrigued about doing this for a while and I'm excited to give it a try. My only reservation is that I don't usually do a ton of stuff on my own, and there's a possibility I might get a little lonely. I do feel like Disney is a very easy place to start conversations though, so I'm sure I'll chat with people in line at least. I am planning to do MK on my full solo day, then staying at All Star Sports that night. I'll check out the next morning, send my bags to the Beach Club, and head to HS for some rides before heading to EP for lunch. My friends fly in around 4:30, so I'll have a few hours after lunch to explore World Showcase before they join me. A little bit of everything!

It sounds like you had a wonderful trip, thanks for sharing it with us :goodvibes

Thanks for reading, DisneyJo! :flower:

thanks for the reports. really enjoyed reading them

Glad you enjoyed it! :yay:

Agreed! But we're both smart enough to have trips in the works to ease the pain :hyper:

I loved Universal so much after my first trip (well, first as an adult) in January that we're headed back during our April trip! The food there is awesome!!! (Well I am mainly thinking of the resorts and CityWalk)

Yes, please do!!! Link us from here when you get it started!

Thanks, pepperandchips! Glad you liked the report and will definitely link when I start a new one. And YES, so glad we have trips in the works. Now we need to start figuring out our NEXT trips so we have something to look forward to when we get back in April! :cloud9:

So excited to visit Universal...last night I started scouring Etsy for a Harry Potter shirt!

Thank you so much for the report! I loved the Food and Wine festival, and I'm excited to try the Flower and Garden festival this trip!

This was an awesome, awesome, amazing and yummy report!!!!! My mouth was watering at those last F&W pictures!!
I'm so sad it's over

Thanks so much for reading! I'm leaving for the F&G festival in less than three weeks (!!!!) and I'm super excited. In my opinion it's one of the best times to visit the parks. Epcot is at its most beautiful with all the topiaries/extra flowers and while the food booths are not as plentiful as at F&W they are still really fun and tasty. The crowds are usually pretty reasonable and it's generally a pretty pleasant period for FL weather (though majorly knocking on wood!). Hope you enjoy your trip!

So glad you enjoyed it, Jerusalem Gal! I loved writing it and remembering our great trip. :flower:

I'm pretty sure the dwarves are only out for meets at special events. We met them during MNSSHP in Fantasyland and I know they meet during MVMCP too.
