Have you ever ridden in up with captain? You just have to ask the cast members if you can help steer the ship. They allow one family up there per trip, you get to sign the captains log and they used to give out a certificate. It's a fantastic view of the park and you get to chat with the captain. Of course when my kids were little they would actually "steer the ship" and "push the button that would kick the guy downstairs to tell him to do his speach" and they would get to ring the bell.

Hey, I finally made it over and read your TR!!! The puppy is soo cute and congrats on your solo trip!!! I'm sooo jealous of food and wine...I've got some great hotel PINs burning a hole in my pocket...might try to talk one of my friends into a long weekend to hit up the festival!

Yay for a December trip!

I'm so excited for it!

MK is my favorite park. I try to do EVERYTHING when I'm there! But I never succeed cause I end up doing my favorite rides over and over again. Set aside some time for dole whips!

I know how you feel! I haven't done the Riverboat in ages!

Love the first day at the MK -- sounds like a perfect plan. We've not done the Riverboat in years...it always seems to be closed when we are there.

We just tend to skip over it. I honestly can't remember the last time we did it!

I love your MK plans! We have never really caught the Dapper Dans and the it's been a long time we have been on the riverboat!

Thanks! I think he's super adorable! I've gotten a lot of PINs this year, and I wasn't really planning on going, so it was driving me crazy! Absolutely love F&W, totally worth it if you can go!

Remember the store at DTD that had nothing but Pet stuff? I tried looking for something for "a puppy" (didn't know what we'd get yet) last month when I was down for my brother's graduation, but I didn't find anything!

Yes, I remember it. They've moved it to the "Pooh & Hunny" store in a corner. They carry a line of dog stuff at the Emporium and also at MouseGears.

Hey! I tagged along on a PTR or TR in the past with you...and you followed some of mine...I fell off the face of the earth, as I do from time to time when in a Disney Depression...but I'm back (for the time being)!

Annndd..going on the exact same dates as you, the 2-9th! So far your PTR has been super helpful to me... since we're going at the same times, maybe i'll just do exactly what you do. You can take care of the hard stuff for me!
Disney trip, and I gained weight back while at Disney, but only 2 lbs! All the walking is so good and burns so many calories. While at Disney, I don't count points. I just ate really really well up until I got there. Just a sidenote- Weight Watchers keeps you away from greasy food...you will have a few rummblies in your tummy if you eat tons of greasy food when you get there..i learned the hard way last year!

Welcome back! I remember you How exciting that you're going at the same time!

I know what you mean about greasy foods...a few years ago when I was in school, I realized I was eating a lot of chicken fingers for lunch, so I decided to cut out all fried foods. Then I went and had some like a month later and I got sooooo sick to my stomach! Ugh, thanks for the reminder though, I forgot all about that!

I'm looking for a cheap flight, right now it's AirTran down (at 5:46 out of Rochester, so I could work that day and head to the airport immediately!) and JetBlue back. But sometimes Southwest makes it worth it to drive to Buffalo for the flight. So I'm waiting to see what happens!

Oh, and I booked breakfast at Kouzzina for my December trip. I've read some mixed reviews though, so I'm not sure I'm going to keep it.

I've heard this about AirTran from numerous people. They fly out of Atlantic City here and they had ok fares but this is what stopped me from booking with them. I've never heard a good thing! I hope you get some good deals for your Dec trip. Can you take JetBlue roundtrip instead of switching airlines?

What frosts me is that it is no longer a non-stop flight; I hate flying so having to land in Georgia and then take off an hour later again is not making me happy.

I thought I read that if they change the time at all, you can call and either get a refund or book yourself on a different flight. Have you looked to see if any of the other flights get in earlier?
