Food & Wine Extravaganza! Oct 2010 PTR...including BONUS Dec 2010 PTR!

Ack! So I did it...I booked All Star Movies for the first weekend in December. Reunion 2010 is from Dec 1-5, but I'm only going for Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Unless airfare is ridiculous when I go to book it...I'm going back!

Let me add a few more:   :cool1: :woohoo: :yay: :cheer2: :dance3:

So this might make me a bad daughter, but I'll post it anyway :rolleyes1 So I've tried to do Solo trips in the past...actually my first F&W trip back in '07 started off as a solo trip. The thing is, my parents love Disney too. And they live close, so whenever I come down, they manage to join me and make it a family trip. Don't get me wrong, I love doing Disney with them and seeing them, but I still haven't been able to really go "solo." So I mentioned to my Mom that I'm coming down for this event the first weekend in December and asked what her & Dad were doing (I just invite them now, it's easier on everyone  ) and it turns out, it's the weekend of her company Christmas party! ...Yes, she knew this off the top of her head, I get my planning gene honestly!! So this means that on Friday and Saturday night, they have things to do. Her Christmas party is being held in Celebration, so they need to come up to the area anyway over the weekend. So because of the party, I'll truly be on my own, solo! :yay: BUT because they're coming up anyway, I'll get to see them for a few hours on Saturday, then they'll join me on Sunday!! So I get the best of both worlds: seeing them and a solo trip! HORRAY!

I was so confused! I clicked the link and was so excited to see the updates! You got me!! :lmao:

More puppy pictures!

Woho for the December trip!! I love, love, love WDW at Christmas!!!!!

Puppy baby is so cute; you show him off as much as you want! I still walk around with new pictures of my baby and we've had her for 3 months now.

You got my hopes up with that F&W site. Dang nab it! Haha.

What's funny with the December trip, is that all I can think about are the Holiday things to do, like the Gingerbread House at the GF, the Castle lighting on Main Street, Osborne Lights, Santas around the WS, and the Candlelight Processional. At no point is, "well I should get up early to hit rope drop so I can do some ride" entering my thought process.

You are going to have to start a thread just for Bandit -- just too cute. The December trip is looking like it is working great for you -- some time with parents and some "solo" time.

Thought I should get back to the actual pre-Trip Report. Since I'm still waiting for the F&W schedule, I thought I'd go through what I want to do in each park.

I'll start with the Magic Kingdom!

To be honest, there's not too much on my list for the MK.

*Watch the Dapper Dans on Main St

*Do Splash Mountain (I haven't done it since February last year!)

*New Space Mountain

*Take lots of pictures of Fantasyland & Toontown so I have lots to compare!

*Get a picture of an empty Main St (early breakfast at CP!)

*Riverboat

*Tom Sawyer's Island

*And if the line is short enough, maybe I'll ride Dumbo...

Here are some pictures from 2007 of the MK all decked out for Halloween!

Right now our plan is to do MK on Saturday (after Tea at the GF) and pretty much all day Tuesday. So what's your favorite overlooked thing to do at the Magic Kingdom?

I feel bad posting all the pictures of him here, but he's pretty much the focus right now

I'm ridiculously excited for the December trip! Now I just need to cross my fingers for good airfare (SW releases on June 10!)

Just signing on, now going back to read!

Hi  welcome!

I'll definitely be doing a Dining Report when I get back, lots of Food Porn!

MK is my favorite park. I try to do EVERYTHING when I'm there! But I never succeed cause I end up doing my favorite rides over and over again. Set aside some time for dole whips! :thumbsup2

Love the first day at the MK -- sounds like a perfect plan. We've not done the Riverboat in years...it always seems to be closed when we are there. :confused3

I love your MK plans! We have never really caught the Dapper Dans and the it's been a long time we have been on the riverboat!

Thanks for doing the food review as well! I just love food porn! ;)
