Food & Wine 2007

Is the food and wine festival scheduled for the same weeks every year? Do you know when Disney posts the schedule for the next year?

I am planning a trip for November next year with another family. They want us all to stay at BWV, and I will need a 2BR unit for my family. I own SSR so I will only be able to book at the 7mo window. Does availability at BWV change towards the end of the festival? Are 2 BR units harder/easier to reserve at 7mos?

I am a new DVC'er, so I'd appreciate any insight you can offer. Thanks.

Generally F&W begins the weekend before the first full week in October and runs until mid November. This year those dates are Sept 29 thru Nov 12. My best guess for next year (and it IS a guess) would be Sept 11 through Nov. 11th. Availability actually gets worse in November because of Jersey week.

I would book your home base at 11 months and then try and switch at the 7 month point. I would think getting on the waitlist that early would get you a room at Boardwalk for the Fest.

If not, don't stress. We prefer BWV (our home base) for F&W also, but we missed the window the first year we went because I just wasn't really on top of it. We stayed at OKW and still had a great time. Hopping the bus and letting someone else drive was just fine.

I agree with booking your home resort at 11 months and switching at the 7 month window.

My home is BCV but I switched my F&W reservation to BWV last year at 7 months without a problem...I was getting a studio, though, not a 2 BR.

My guess for the dates is September 29 - November 11 for 2007.

Just saw on the main page that '07 F&W dates are 9/28 thru 11/11...

Are these official (from Disney) or an educated guess based on this years dates????

Thanks for posting this question. I also have been wondering how to find out the dates early enough to have a chance at getting a reservation at BWV.

May I ask another question? Sorry, it's a newb question. Could someone post the real-life crib notes on exactly WHAT the Food and Wine Festival is? What I mean is:

-What do you actually do at it?
-What is the main reason for going then vs. another part of the year?
-are there additional tickets to purchase?
-How crowded?
-what kind of lines?

I'm trying to decide if this is something we would enjoy. Thanks!

go to the DIS home page and click on the EPCOT sign, it tells you a lot of what go on and MENUS. Crowds are up and down
