We have never been to Fantasmic and hope to see it this trip. We have to see the early show because we have young children. I have read that some people will eat dinner while they wait in line. The Fantasmic dinner package does not fit into our budget but counter service food does. Does anyone have suggestions? Where would be a good place to get our food? What's a good meal to eat while in line? How would we do this? Would my husband go get the food while the rest of us hold our place? Will we be able to sit on the ground and eat while we wait? Should we bring a blanket to sit on? Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks!

You can always make a PS to go to Hollywood and Vine or The 50s Prime Time CAfe. You can eat there without getting the package. If that still isn't to your liking you can eat in the Fantasmic arena. Once you get your seats one of you can walk up to a counter right in the arena and buy hot dogs, nachos, pretzels, and so on. You can then pass the time in your seats eating. There is also a market type food area to the left before going up to the arena. They have all kinds of foods there that you can get and take into the arena with you. Either way you will not have to stand and eat. You can get your seats and then one of you can grab something either in the arena or right outside and then bring it in for all of you. They tell you that you cannot leave once you get a seat but we do it all time. A CM will give you asecret password to tell him and he will let you back in. My password was Goofy!

Thanks for your quick reply. I didn't realize that they sold food right in the arena! I didn't realize that you could go and get a seat right off. I thought we would have to stand in line until 10-15 minutes prior to the show.
Thanks again!

Just be aware....when we were there in Feb. the "arena" concession stand was not hooked up to the room key charge system. How embarassing:( , I had to ask my DBIL for cash, as I usually don't carry more than $5 in Disney.
