? for all of you "budget guru's" :flower:

My oh so generous parents have informed us they are giving us $1000.00 spending money while on our trip to Florida (above and beyond already buying our park-tickets, the parentals rock even at their age!) ::yes::

We are a family of 5, :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:
(dd's are 7,6 & a 3 year old who thinks that French fries are the main dish!)

From what I've read, it's sensible to "split" meals as portion sizes are larger, and at the time of year we are going (early Oct) it will probably still be very warm, so not sure how much we will even eat.

After the stuff I already have planned to spend this money on, (character meal, sit down meal & MNSSHP)
I have $515.00 left for 6 meals/snacks, t-shirts (3) & mouse-ears for the girls (3). (more than likely these will all be counter-service meals.) Do you think it's enough or should I plan on bringing extra, Just in Case!

TIA! :worship:

Shelly

No problem. 6 counter service meals for 5 at around $40 each (this is pretty generous) is $240. 3 T-shirts at $25 each is $75. I'm not exactly sure how much the mouse hats are but I'm sure they're under $20 each, so we'll call it $60 to be safe. That only comes to $375, and that's probably over-budgeted.

You should be fine and even have extra for :mickeybar

how long are you going for?
Im budgeting $70/day for both DS13 & myself x14 days thats well over $1000
