I do not think that they have any problems with you sharing meals when you each order a meal...it is the people that try to share one meal between two or three people in order to save credits...on the other hand, I do not think there is anyway they can monitor the sharing of CS credits.

DH and I share quite often. DD and I do too. We love to try each others food to see who got the best stuff.

We split meals sometimes because we're not huge eaters and we want to have room for dessert. We'll usually get one appetizer, one entree and then each order a dessert. The portions at most of the DW restaurants are so big that it's plenty to share and this way we don't waste so much. We do leave a tip as though we'd ordered 2 entrees...:)

The idea of tipping as if it were two is an interesting one. Most people just base it off of the total pre-tax price, but I agree that if you have a situation as you describe, the generous and appropriate thing to do is to tip a little more.

My post was, for lack of having a more eloquent way to put it, about eating off of each other's plates. Interesting that most people do it, but a very big split about whether or not it is against etiquette to do so at V&As.

At the price you pay at V&A - darn tootin' I'm tasting everything that hits the table!

I feel like if your paying for something, its yours and you should be able to share with whoever you want.
