I'm sure this is out there already but will we be able to bring sandwiches in for my son to eat? He has a very limited diet and I don't see much on the menus that he can eat.
Hmmm. That's a good question. I would think as long as you bring it with you, it would be ok.
They can also make adjustments to menu items for you. At one point my DD would only eat plain pasta - no sauce, no meat. So Mama Melrose did that for her. Another time, when my son was little he didn't like his food to touch so they brought it all out on different plates for him at Le Cellier!
If it's a special type of diet he is on like gluten free - they can help with that. There is a special dining hotline you can call and they can help you. I don't have the number though. If you look on the disabilities board, you should be able to find it.
1. Yes. However, make sure that anything you bring into a Park will not spoil in high temperatures.
2. I would suggest going to the disABILITIES Forum and look at Post #3 of the disABILITIES FAQs. There is a large section in that post dealing with special dietary needs, as well as many related links. You can get directly to the disABILITIES FAQs by following the link in my signature.
This is a very common topic of discussion in the disABILITIES Forum.
I agree that you would get much more help and expert advice on the disabilities section of the boards.
I would add this though, if you have a character buffet or a regular one in mind you would have to pay for him no matter what. As everyone in the party is required to pay.
