Does anyone know if you can get raw oysters on US/IOA property at any of the restaurants/hotels? We're staying at RPR for a few days in October and would like to track down the good seafood!!!!
Thanks in advance!:goodvibes

Well, the RPR does have a seafood buffet on Fri/Sat nights, so there's a good chance of finding them there. And there is also the Orchid Court sushi bar.....but I don't know if that would include raw oysters. Anyone here know for sure?

What about Bubba Gumps? They probably fried them there, not raw...

I'd like to know more about the sushi bar...anyone have more info? Where is it, is it good, what are their hours, so they have regualr food too (DH does not eat fish)???? TIA for any info...

We were at the RPR on 05/02/08 and had the Seafood Buffet at the resturant there. Raw oysters was one of the items on the buffet.

According to Kelly Monaghan's book, the sushi bar is at the Orchid Lounge at RPR and is open from 5pm to 11pm.

We'll check it out (I may have to buy Kelly's book)... I'm really excited and appreciate all of the help!!! :goodvibes

I went to the Sushi thing this week... they gave complimentary edamame with our order. The menu really was just sushi, with one vegetarian roll (I do believe it was just one). They had miso soup and a garden salad which were without fish as well. Very small and sort of just in the bar.

It was tastier than I expected as I am new(ish) to Florida and had yet to have great sushi... I would go again!

most sushi places I've seen do not have raw oysters...
