While at Disney last week, we ate at the American Adventure CS at Epcot for dinner around 6:00. At around 10:00 when we were back in our room, my DD starts to complain about her stomach hurting (she said it hurt for us to touch it so we were worried about appendicitis but now we just think it was bad cramping). A few minutes later she vomits pretty violently, feels better, 10 minutes pass, vomits again, feels better, drinks a little juice, 10 minutes pass, vomits whats left in her stomach, says she still feels bad but falls asleep. She doesn't wake up again until the next morning and acts like nothing ever happened. Perfectly fine and we go to the parks.
The family had shared water all day long and as of today (week later), no one else has gotten it.
All she ate at Epcot was chicken nuggets and fries which is what another DD had (but did not share). She also had part of a brownie from Captain Cooks about 30 minutes before throwing up but my other DD finsihed it off and never got sick.
Now, I'm not looking for a lawsuit or compensation from Disney or anything like that, I am just trying to figure out if this was food poisoning or a virus of some kind that the rest of us just missed. Webmd was not very helpful so I thought I would turn to the Dis Community.
Thanks.
