Food Network Star spoiler

Being from Santa Rosa (Guy's hometown).....I'm ecstatic!!!!!!!!

Thank goodness for Dish, as I didn't have to wait until 9 like the rest of us Santa Rosans.

I can't tell you how many times I voted for him. Looks like a celebration is in need at one of Guy's local restaurants tomorrow!!! Oh yeah....I am so proud of our new local hero. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I wanted Guy to win, but did you see the look on poor Reggie's face? I really felt sorry for him.

Unfortunately I only caught this show once and now I'm trying to remember which one was Guy? :confused3

no offense but everytime i saw that show i said, as i love the food network, that i would watch any of their shows but reggie's. that guy just creeped me out and i dont think i would watch his show if he had one.

Okay, gotcha. He definitely stood out and I must admit I liked him. I had a feeling he might win. However, I liked Reggie too. I loved his personality.

I was so happy that Guy won! I liked Reggie, too, but after the last episode with their pilots, there was no question in my mind that Guy should win. Reggie had too many annoying quirks for me, and it was really bothering me for some reason that he kept addressing the audience as "girls". I'm pretty sure there are guys that watch the food network, too.

But anyway, yay for Guy!

I liked them both, but I liked Guy better. Reggie's "sassiness" was a bit much. Maybe he was going for the "bam" effect. He seems like a great guy, and I'd like to eat his food, just not necessarily watch him while he prepares it. His recipes sound interesting.

From reading our local paper this AM, while Guy's getting his own show...it doesn't really sound like he'll be getting his "own show".....

"Work on Fieri's TV show begins today with a production meeting that Fieri says is shaping up to be an exercise in compromise.

He has proposed several ideas to personalize his show, but he's realizing he's a long way from having the kind of celebrity status of Emeril.

He wanted the set of his show to have stainless steel counters, like a commercial kitchen. He also proposed a plasma screen TV in the background showing extreme motor sports, such as motocross or drag racing. And he thought some heavy metal music, such as Motley Crue, might add a little zest.

But for a show that's going to air at 10 a.m. Sundays, Fieri may have to throttle back a little bit.

"They said, 'You need to go to your production meeting,' " he said."

I wonder if they knew it would only be a 6 episode show, not like I thought, an Emeril or Paula show "their own" before they went through it??!!
