Food into the parks

Thanks. Thought I had read that, but wanted to make sure.

Our first trip to Universal is next week! :yay::yay:

The one exception recently has been no water on the evenings of HHN and concert nights. You've still been able to bring them in the morning. Then, sometime in the evening they switch over.

Here's a tip so you don't need to carry around a bunch of water. Bring a refillable cup or cups and use the Coca Cola Freestyle machines to get water. You do NOT need a fresstyle cup to get water and ice at them. Any cup will do. As far as snacks go, yes you can bring them but there is a sign that is posted which states NO outside food or beverages are allowed. If you bring a backpack full of snacks, no one will care but it is posted. Lastly, please do not bring a cooler with a bunch of food cause that is NOT allowed and will not get past the guards in the rotunda. Of course exceptions are made (medical) but in general coolers are held for you until the end of the day. I am not posting this information to get into arguments with people or debates. If you brought a cooler and they let it in, good for you but the rule is NO coolers. (Sorry but lately there have been a lot of retaliation posts on disboards.)

many bring in lots of food, mostly i see famiies doing that.
they fill their backpack with their items, get checked at coming in and then proceed to the lockers.

you can store a lot of things in the family lockers at the parks.
put your food in there and come back during the day for it.

just don't bring perishbles, you don't want the food to spoil!

wheeled coolers won't be allowed in but that is why many use back packs for their food needs.

if you need a certain medical item to be kept refrigderated, take it to first aid centers to be held for you.
you won't have to carry those medications with you in the park as they will be under lock and key with a staff member.

some families bring in food that are not medically needed but things that picky kids or adults will want to eat.
others might have a restricted dietary needs or limited diet due to surgeries.
