Anyone know of a place close to Disney that has groceries? or a good decent priced place to eat in or around Disney?

We have breakfast covered as it comes with our hotel package.. just thinking more for lunch!

Thanks in advance :)

Depending on where you are staying, there are numerous Publix and other super markets within 10-15 mins of property. The quick service restaurants in the park or going to be your cheaper options (at least on property.) If you just want to snack, there are plenty of choices for that too. One of my favorites in the MK is the Egg Roll cart in Adventure Land. Egg rolls are only about $2.50 each and are great.

A lost of people will often leave property for lunch but it just really depends on where you're staying etc. There was also a blog post written on the DIS the other day regarding that topic you can check out here - http://www.wdwinfo.com/walt-disney-...g-a-park-to-save-money-on-food-is-a-bad-idea/

It really depends on where you are staying. We like the Crossroads area except for the Goodings store which I think is really expensive. I love the Publix chain and wish we had them in our area at home. Many places have email clubs you can join before you leave and get coupons for your meals.

Are you planning to leave the park at mid-day specifically to go out to eat lunch somewhere 'less expensive' than in the park? If you are, you might want to carefully consider the value of leaving the park for a prolonged period of time at mid-day (including transportation time) vs. the few dollars that you would save.

Remember that you can bring lunch into the park with you if you want, just no glass containers allowed, and you can only bring a small cooler without wheels. There are lockers available to rent in each park if you don't want to carry it all day. There are several Publix and Walmart stores around the area, and you would probably be best informed if you go to those stores websites and use the 'store finder' tool to search for what is close to the hotel you are staying at.

When we stay off-site, we generally eat breakfast in the room/hotel and lunch in the park at a quick service restaurant, then have dinner outside of the park at the end of the day either in a restaurant or the room (with food purchased from Walmart....if you have a kitchen in your hotel/condo, crock pot is a great way to have dinner ready upon your arrival back in the room at the end of the day with almost no effort)
