Iv been on a diet for the last 2 months (and will be for the next month ahead of me), all for the sake of my wedding dress. 2 days after the wedding, on the 30th of August, we fly out to Orlando for 2 weeks of honeymooning, fun, frolics and NO DIETING wwooohhoooo!

I am ready to just about eat the whole of WDW, its all so delicious;
Table service,
Turkey legs,
Mickey Ice creams,
Candy Apples,
Churro's....and everything in between.

I want to try a host of new things so tell me....Whats your favourite WDW food and do you have any pictures to wet my, already humongous, appetite.

Cheese/jalopeno stuffed pretzels, chocolate covered frozen bananas, and Dole Whips are my must-do snacks. I try not to go too crazy while on vacation so I'm not mad at myself when I get home but, with all the walking, I do splurge a little. I did just discover the candy shop in Germany on our last trip....darn it! :)

We don't do too many sit down restaurants, as I prefer to snack my way around the World!!

Enjoy and Congrats!!

The things I made a point of going back to have a second time during our trip (and would seek out this time!) were "Spicy Togarashi Seared Tuna Noodle Salad" at Sunshine seasons at The Land in Epcot, "Couscous, Quinoa and Arugula Salad - with salmon" at ABC commissary at Disney studios and the lobster roll at Columbia Harbour House at the Magic Kingdom.

I have never tried any of those!!! Not even a dole whip :O
The banana and pretzel sound amazing and i am such a huge fan of cous cous and salmon!

So many undiscovered goodies to try!

Made myself a note to try those on next trip! Yum! I love Sunshine Seasons! (they sell mini bottles of wine  )

Can anyone remind us where you can find the jalapeno stuffed pretzel? I'm pretty sure not ANYWHERE at MK....I was on a wild goose chase for one there a year or two ago and never found one! :)

I think I remember seeing them at Epcot at the fife and drum, and at AK at the Harambe fruit market, but I cannot say that I remember seeing them at the MK. Hmmmmm. You have me thinking. I don't eat them, but my ex liked them.

Oh, the food. Definitely one of the best parts of any Disney trip. As others have pointed out, Dole whips are a must do. Be Our Guest is phenomenal. The food and the atmosphere. I would suggest trying to get a reservation at lunch. (If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. I promise!) I've only ever eaten there at lunch but it's been great every time. BOG also has great cupcakes.

If you head to Animal Kingdom definitely eat at Yak & Yeti (the table service location not quick service.) The food is delicious. And for dessert order the cream cheese wontons. SO good.

At Epcot- I second the recommendation for Sunshine Seasons. One of the best quick service locations in all of WDW. The food is so fresh and delicious. We love the Asian station there. And for dessert- red velvet whoopie pie, complete with a chocolate Mickey. Fantastic. If you're looking for table service locations at Epcot there's tons of delicious options around World Showcase. My personal favorite right now is Via Napoli in Italy. They are famous for their pizza.. and it's the best pizza I've ever had. They have other things on the menu as well. And the Zeppoli for dessert is so good! Enjoy!

Supper at Ohana
Breakfast at Crystal Palace (The breakfast lasagna is crazy good)
Strawberry Chicken Salad at The Plaza

hi, im going to be trying the carrot cake cookies in HS at writers corner

cal :)

Oooooooo....that caramel shop in Germany. Ahhhhhhhhmazing!! Recommendation: one evening after Illumination, as you are strolling out, stop into that store and get the fabulous, fresh caramel corn. They are making the caramel and popping the corn right in front of you, pouring that gooey yummyness over the hot popcorn, putting in a bag and handing it over. Stop along on a bench and enjoy as you listen to the music and watch them move the boats and barges from the lake in for the night. BLISS!

I am a huge fan of Dole Whips. I know people can take them or leave them, but for me, it is a must-have. One of my ridiculous indulgences while I'm there: we go to Ohana for breakfast. We are big fans of the family-style service, the juice, and the friendship bread. Afterward, we go downstairs to the Pineapple Lanai for a Dole Whip "breakfast dessert." I know, I know, dessert for breakfast is going overboard, but it's vacation and it makes me happy, so I don't care!

Don't overlook some of the great food at DTD. Earl of Sandwich is great and Portobello has amazing Italian food!

Congrats!

Our friends love the fresh made carmel popcorn at Norway's bakery. Also we only get the Napoleon at France's bakery. Save room and $14 for a lovely margarita inside the pyramid at Mexico.

Yak and Yeti- hands down my favorite place to eat in any of the parks. Love it!

For fast food- it sounds awful, but someone posted here it was their favorite meal so I tried it- mac n cheese with roast beef on top. OMG- pure evil I'm sure, but I would give a lot to have more of it. Delicious!

I just did something similar! I was eating no refined sugars and practically gluten free, then came my vacation!

My favorite things on our trip a couple of weeks ago:

Ratatouille at Be Our Guest (and it is so healthy!)

Well, that about does it for healthy eating at Disney. On to my other faves:

  • Bread service at Sanaa
  • Dole Whip
  • Buffalo chicken waffle slider at Trilo-Bites
  • Sauteed shrimp and scallops at Be Our Guest
  • Lobster mac and cheese at Columbia Harbor House
  • LeFou's Brew at Gaston's Tavern
  • Spinach and goat cheese eggs at Boma
  • French toast bread pudding at Boma
