I was wondering what types of food Biergarten would have for a 9 year old girl ?
She not a real picky eater, I would say she is inbetween a picky eater and a good eater lol. Do you think she would like Biergarten or should I pick another restaurant ?

My 8yo dd loves the spaetzle there. She also liked the pretzel rolls, the roast beef, and the mac n cheese.

Our DS7 loved the Biergarten. He's fairly adventurous and will try most things. When I asked him if there were any restaurants he'd like to go to again on our next trip, the first one he said was Biergarten. :)

My 9 yo nephew and 7 yo niece & nephew loved Biergarten. Even my 2yo daughter enjoyed it. They enjoyed the food and loved the entertainment.

This was my DDs first plate at Biergarten. She is a fairly adventurous eater, she is willing to try most anything once. She really liked the spaetzel (top center), the macaroni and cheese, the carrots and the Hunter's beef. She also had plenty of pretzel rolls and green salad.

She also LOVED the desserts and the dancing.

There are more pictures of the food on my blog here if you are interested. They are a bit older but the food is basically the same.

Hope this helps some. :)

My DD (5) can be a very picky eater. At age 3, we took her to Biergarten. She ate more at that meal than I have ever seen the kid eat at one meal in her life. We have been back twice since then and both times we went to Biergarten (which she ranks right up there with Princess meals thanks to the band and dance floor), and both trips I could count on Biergarten as the one place where she would actually eat a substantial meal.

Wow thanks everyone, sounds and looks like it would be a good place for my girl. I think she will like it. The photo of the food looks like things she would like. :)

Spaetzel is a noodle dish - is it the schnitzel that you're referring to?

They also have a really good potato soup- nothing weird in it.

I'm not a big meat eater so I had the soup, salads and pretzel rolls- omg they are to die for. :thumbsup2

My kids (6 and 3 at the time) found tons to eat. Spaetzle, sausages, salads, potatoes, etc.

My 2 yo and 4 yo absolutely hammered the buffet there ... as did I.
The kids also had a blast with the band.
And they have good beer.
What's not to like?

This is our 1st year going to Biergarten. I see alot of people really rave the beer. We don't drink beer so are we going to feel out of place here if we order coke or tea?

Yes. They sit you in a special area and make fun of you. In High German.

;)

Just joshin' with you. Of course you will be welcommen. It is a restaurant first and foremost, and a beer hall only if one wants it to be.
