Food delivery to resorts?

I will be staying at Kidani Village for a few days in late January. I’m asking this question knowing that rules can randomly change during these times. We are basically visiting Disney property because we desperately need a disney fix, but we don’t intend to visit the parks or do any real exploring. We‘re going to enjoy the Savanah view, play games, watch movies, and just relax and have fun in place. With that, I’m trying to explore what my different options may be for food. Are we able to get pizza or UBEREats delivered to the resort? I assume they can’t come directly to the rooms, but can they get past the gate so we can meet them at the lobby? Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

At POP we had uber eats and met them outside where Magical Express dropped off. No reason to believe Kidani Village (AKL) would be handed diferently.

We were just at Jambo a couple weeks ago and used both DoorDash and Uber Eats with no problems. I met them out in front of the lobby. This was our first time using any of the food delivery apps, and I suspect we'll be taking advantage of them on future trips even when Disney reopens more dining options.

You will not have any issues with having things delivered. I had some groceries from Shipt delivered and the lady who did the shopping was a cast member that is furloughed. Always meet delivery drivers out front and never give anyone your room number.

I think somebody mentioned getting Earl of Sandwich delivered to their resort recently and now I am wondering how any of these services would be able to pick up food at Disney Springs without the driver parking and temp check. Has anybody else had DS Food delivered ?
...Chicken Guy and Mac cheese for Thanksgiving delivery??? Could solve all our problems with no adr’s available. Haha

I was at CBR about a month ago, and had issues with Doordash - I tried ordering from 5 different restaurants but at the final screen, was told that the resort was outside their delivery area. There were limited options available on UberEats, although strangely one of them was one of the restaurants that was outside of the delivery area according to Doordash. I suggest that you change your delivery address to your resort and see what restaurants are actually available, while you are home. It may impact whether you plan restaurant reservations or not.

Very handy after a very long day of driving... But... Would recommend placing order from lobby if that's where you intend to pick up. We ordered from room, left pickup instructions for the lobby with a note that security most likely wouldn't allow them to come to the building, AND texted specifics of where we were waiting by the taxi/dropoff... And still were left running around the perimeter of our hotel because the driver went to the room instead of the guard directing him to lobby/portico.

How did the driver get your room number? If Disney gave that info away that is a HUGE no no and even a possible lawsuit. As a single female traveler, I would raise hell if Disney did that. I ordered from Shipt on my last trip and the driver let me know that they were on their way and I waited out front in the porte cochere for them. I tell them to let me know and I will meet them out front whenever I order anything while staying at a hotel. Never, ever, ever give anyone your room number.

You can, however we had a few issues with delivery at AKL this past Oct. when we stayed. First, we had Walmart groceries to be delivered (used them before at multiple resorts, no issues.) We eventually got our stuff 1.5 hrs. after the delivery window, several phone calls and 2 drivers later. - Apparently they were/are outsourcing their delivery drivers to I believe they said doordash and for whatever reason they had a real issue getting/finding AKL. The 2nd driver told me that they just send them the GPS coordinates and it was taking them to some apartments about 8 miles away. We also had this happen with a food order later in the week with a chain restaurant. - Didn't take quite as long, but they said the GPS was taking them to the wrong place??? I know I had the correct address as I had confirmed it about a million times earlier with the issues with Walmart. Also, these people live in Orlando, how do they not know what Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is???

We had ordered pizza from a local place and we had no issues at all getting our food that time.

We've ordered food and groceries from numerous resorts over the years with no issue. This was the first time we had ever stayed at AKL, so I can only assume it was an issue with that particular address/gps etc.

Sorry for any confusion, not the actual room... directly outside the building, because the app GPS pulled my coordinates where I ordered, rather than the hotel lobby. He seemed to think they were apartments, so I'm assuming he's new or hasn't delivered to the property often. However, when a "cast member" was trying to translate for the driver after he called them over, they asked for the room number and I said not a chance. I had left multiple notes to meet at the lobby, I'm not putting myself at risk because he failed to understand. The only reason I haven't filed any kind of report is because I truly don't think a cast member would have asked for the room number... They have all ALWAYS known better.
