Is it a big deal to get food delivered from outside of the "world"? If not, what are some good (cheap choices)?

We had pizza delivered from Pizza Hut(I believe) to SSR when we were there 2 years ago and it was very easy. Just make sure when you call that you ask them first if they deliver to your resort for free. You may need to call the right location of that restaurant for you to be in their delivery area. It was definitely cheaper to do that than eat at the food court that night, and it was easier. Don't forget to ask for napkins and silverware if you are in a regular room.

Have a great trip!

You might get more response on the "Orlando Area Hotels and Attractions" forum as far as the best restaurants that deliver, but here's what I can help you with.

You can get food delivered from a variety of restaurants, although some charge a hefty delivery fee. The drivers are not allowed to bring it to your room (SSR and OKW might be the two exceptions) and you must meet them in the lobby to pay for it.

I would suggest you head over to www.floridakiss.com. Ths is the official website for the Kissimmee/St. Cloud Tourism. Kissimmee is just right outside of World Drive. There are oodles and oodles of restaurants along West Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy. If you have time, you might also want to order their free vacation planning guide. I think they had some coupons in them.

Most times we've ordered pizza we've met the driver in the hotel lobby, we give them our cell phone number to call us when they are getting through the hotel gate.

Disney definitely allows this, and the pizza is much better than anything I've had from a Disney resort pizza service, and a little cheaper.

I did one time post asking about other delivery places, and got very few/no answers, so we haven't branched out from pizza yet.
