Food court at BC?

No. There is Beaches and Cream which has some things in the AM for breakfast. Typically though the line, I've been told by many, is long and it is hard to get in there quickly and out. There is a snackbar by the pool, can't remember its name ... but there is not a food court similar to what one would find at the moderates (POFQ, POR, Coronado, CBR, AKL). They have several full services restaurants that serve breakfast and dinner between the YC and BC.

Beaches and Cream opens and serves a lunch and dinner, I believe. It is not very big and the wait, during peak seasons, can be long. We've found food to be so-so ...nothing special.

No there is not.

The regular gift shop is closed right now and rumor has it that when it reopens it will have expanded food openings with perhaps a small counter service area.

That's what I heard as well.

They will have an area with basically a coffee bar and have pastries and such. It's not going to have much more than small snacks, not a food court, more like a Starbucks, and the seating will be very limited.

There doesn't seem to be a set date, I would imagine at least a couple months from now. I'll see if my friend who works at the Y/BC has any info. The people in the gift shop (now located in the sandcastle Club space) didn't know.

Yes, but it's a CB. Both are buffets, and not a quick, inexpensive meal.

I think the idea of a coffee bar is long overdue and a great idea!

We stayed at the BC last April. Every morning right off of the lobby they had a set-up for continental breakfast type stuff: coffee, juices, milk, muffins, pastries, bagels, fruit, cereals, etc. There were trays available and I was able to bring breakfast back up to the room while everybody was getting ready. It worked out fine for us. It was similar to the stuff available at the WL food court with the exception of the hot stuff.

Do you suppose the new coffee bar is to help deter people from going to B&C for their refills? That small area can get really congested!

Yikes! SAB and the gift shop being rehabed? I leave in a few weeks and I'm beginning to question my stay there. I certainly don't want to feel like I'm in the midst of a construction zone when I walk around the resort. I know Disney tries to be discreet with rehabs but it makes me think I picked the wrong resort for this trip.

When we were there in Nov/Dec the rehab on the pool was noticeable. We haven't been since they started the gift shop, area, perhaps someone else could give you more info if you post a specific thread asking about that.
