we are staying off site and going dec 14-dec 23

we are planning on having breakfast at the hotel and buying a case of water to bring waters to the park

its dh myself ds 6 and dd 2

dd will be sharing a meal and we are eating counter service meals only

lunch dinner and some snacks

how much should i budget per person?

So you want a budget for lunch, dinner, and some snacks at CS locations...

The easiest rough estimate would be to use the cost of the QSDP which is 2 CS meals and a snack per night (I know you can't actually get a Dining Plan offsite, I am just saying that is a good way to estimate cost). For your family (2 adults, 1 kid) that would be $1000.

If you don't eat desserts or sodas with QS meals, then you can probably eat much cheaper.

Look at menu (allears or http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningmain.cfm) to get a feel for price and what you would order. For snacks, I would just estimate about $5 a piece.

Here would be a sample day for us:
Breakfast in room
Lunch: Columbia Harbor House
Kids meal $5.99
Fried Shrimp Platter $10.99
Grilled Salmon $10.99
Soda $3.19
Extra Milk for 2 year old $1.69
About $35 with taxes

Snacks: 3 Dole Whips $12

Dinner: Cosmic Ray's
1/2 Chicken $9.99
Cheeseburger $10.19
Kids Meal $5.99
Soda $3.19
Extra Milk $1.69
About $33

Total is about $80/day or about $800 total
