Food & Beverage Minimum Questions

Hey guys. I know the 2013 food and beverage prices were listed as $100 for a breakfast reception, $125 for lunch and a $150 minimum for dinner.

Do these prices include a bar package per person, or just solely the price of the food ? Could I purchase a plate for $120 and add a $30 bar package per person to meet my $150 per person ?

What times classify as a lunch or dinner reception ?

The food and beverage minimum encompasses ALL food and beverage, including cake, dessert party food (if it's held the day of the wedding), package bars, BOC bars, etc. So, yes, adding a beverage package will apply (but will probably cost you way more than a BOC bar).

Lunch receptions are those that go with a noon ceremony time. Dinner prices apply for the 2:30pm, 5pm and 7:30pm ceremony times.

im so confused about the bar packages. I am nervous that if I go with the BOC my guests will go over. Most of the people in my family will drink, im not sure how much though.

How can gauge if I should just purchase an open bar, or BOC?

For BOC bars, Disney estimates two drinks per person for the first hour and one drink per person each hour thereafter. They calculate how much to charge you up front by using the price of a cocktail in whatever type of bar you selected (Call Brands, Premium Brands, Signature Brands, etc.). Then they either refund you the difference if your guests drink less or bill you if they drink more. Usually you hear of people getting refunds.

So for 50 guests over age 21 at a 4-hour reception with Premium Brands, your BOC estimate calculation would look like this:

50 people x 5 drinks each x $6/drink = $1,500 (or $30/person)

Compare that to a Premium Cocktails bar package, which costs $2,075 ($41.50/person) for 4 hours for 50 people.
