Food at Timeshare

I like the idea of frozen lasagne. Also, Stouffer's 18-minute casseroles are good as are El Montery enchiladas. Then add a bagged salad kit and dessert and you're good to go.

Have a great time.

I think you must be flying or you could use my best tip. I always pack from my pantry before we go on vacation. My kids are so picky. Going out to eat isn't a treat for them because they don't like most restaurant food. So I grab any bread, cereal, butter, jelly, milk etc. that we have at home and pack it for the trip. This way, things at home don't spoil and I have a good start for the trip. Otherwise I'd go to the store and buy a duplicate of everything I already have at home.

I agree about finding inexpensive takeout. I don’t really “cook” on vacation. But I will pick up things for my husband and me from local restaurants and put something together in condo for the kids. We will eat out a few times too. I have us eat all breakfasts in our room and I pack snacks and sandwiches for the parks…mostly because we don’t like to slow down and we don’t love park food.

My basic list is:
Paper towels
Dish and laundry soaps
Zip locks
Cereal
Granola Bars
Fresh Fruit
Fruit cups
Bag snacks (pretzels, chips etc)
Bread
Lunch meat
Jelly
Peanut Butter
Tea, coffee, soda, bottled water, milk
Bagels
Butter
Cream cheese
String cheese
Energy bars
Instant oatmeal
Frozen waffles

Your timeshare should be providing things like paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, sponges and dishwasher soap (both for the machine and hand washing), salt & pepper and basic dishes, pots/pans and utensils....if they aren't you need to find out why. lol When we go to DL we don't do a lot of in room eating in our timeshare, we basically take sandwich stuff and eat the free bfast we get from the resort. When we go to Napa or Vegas tho we do eat food I make, I take eggs, bacon, bread (for toast), butter, jelly, honey, tea, and cereal and milk for bfasts, for dinners I'll usually do spaghetti, I can get 2 meals out of that for our family and it's easy to make. I tend to make sauce from scratch at home but while on vacation I'll get a jar of Ragu or something like that, that way I don't need all the spices. Tacos are good and easy, so are burgers and hot dogs, and if you have leftovers of those they can make a meal another night or they can be eaten for lunch. I do take ziploc baggies for leftovers just in case and we always have fresh fruits and veggies to snack on as well, this last trip we took we took Ranch dip with jicama, carrots and celery, we had a small Rubbermaid bowl we put the dip in, that was a yummy snack. :)
