Food at SSR

Actually, SSR currently has one themed pool, but, two quiet pools....one in Congress Park and one in the Paddocks. I believe there is also supposed to be another themed pool planned for the new fairway villas beyond the check in area. Not sure if that's fact or just talk at this time.

Our only complaint is it took a good 20 minutes or more each time to get our food!
After you place your order they give you a number and call out when it is ready. We were poolside on our last day and DH ordered 2 items, 1 order of chicken fingers and 1 flatbread pizza and we didn't see him for over 30 minutes! This was in the middle of the day - not a prime lunch or dinner time slot!

We had a similar experience. We were there around 2pm and there were people in the AP, but I wouldn't say it was overly crowded. We waited a long time for our food and it was a little annoying, since we had come in from the pool area and had to just sit there and wait. I would suggest that at least they give out beepers, instead of numbers, so that you could wander off a bit, maybe back to the pool area, and come back when your food is ready.

I was there in April and had no complaints about the food. Both my husband and myself had two (maybe three) great meals there. I had a turkey sandwich, which was delicious, and one night the two of us got a roasted chicken dinner which was great, too. We never had to wait long for food. Five minutes, tops. I guess everyone's experience is different, as are their expectations. I think you will find the AP just fine for lunch or a quick dinner. The Turf Club should be open soon, and the seating area they have set aside for that has great views of the golf course. I can't wait to try it the next time we go down.
