What kind of food do they serve at Sea World. On their website you can see small huts that sell food. No menus or prices are listed. Is it just fast food and what kind? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

With the exception of the Shamu meals, they are all counter service. Most are very good. Theres BBQ ribs and chicken, gourmet sandwiches, pasta, burgers and everything in between.

The dine with Shamu breakfasts and dinners are very good but can be pricey. The food is buffet style and better quality than at the counter service.

Just outside the gates is a grilled hotdog stand. These are much better than the boiled hotdogs found inside. Often, late in the afternoon this stand will have 1/2 price everything, including bottled drinks, chips etc. You can take these items thru the gates.

SeaWorld seasonally has an all you can eat pass. If park hours are early AM till late night this can be a very good deal. We eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. It also allows unlimited drinks throughout the day.

Also available is a refillable seaworld mug. Saves quite a bit if you drink a lot on a hot day! Seaworld CM's have said they will refill any mug that says Seaworld on it, so we reused ones we had bought over 10 years ago.

We've eaten at both Shipwreck Reef and Calypso Smokehouse and both were pretty good. But yes, it is pricey there. We haven't been in a few years-we used to have AP but it got to be too pricey to drive there when gas prices starting going up (it's now about $50 in gas, round trip).

It is hard to find any menu pricing for SW restaurants. You might contact them by email to see if they can provide it. I've emailed them a few questions over the years and they have been pretty quick to reply.

You can see the menus, without pricing, on seaworld.com. If I was going all day, and it was when SW was open later, I would seriously think about the all you can eat pass. Oh, and we still have our (large) popcorn bucket which you can get refills of popcorn or cotton candy (for about $1.50-$2) as well as a drink cup you can get soda or frozen lemonade refills. I've used them everytime we have gone since I bought them about 8-9 years ago.:goodvibes

It was expensive but high quality. I had a turkey sandwich that was about $12 but it was fresh carved turkey on freshly baked bread. They had all the typical park food styles sadnwiches, burgers, italian, ribs, etc.

The All You Can Eat pass is a great deal. It costs $29.99 (you can save the tax if you buy it at the ticket booth outside the park, I am still not sure why they don't charge tax but inside the park does). We find the price is well worth it if we are going for the entire day. We go early enough that we get breakfast (usually served until 11 A.M.), lunch and dinner with some snacks. It includes drinks at the locations that you can get food from. We actually bout a souvenir sipper when we didn't do the all you can eat deal and they will refill it (normally refills are about $1) as your drink and you get more beverage. Of course you can also get bottled beverages as your drink instead.

NOTE: The wristbands are only valid at the major restaurants and there is an upcharge for Ribs, but if you want Ribs, get the Smokehouse Sampler Platter at Calypso Bay Smokehouse and you get Ribs on the plate.

One hint with the wristbands, go in at park opening, go to breakfast, then a show and you should be on a good schedule to go to the restaurants at the less busy times. (i.e. not normal meal times).

As for the food, it really is reasonably priced for what you get, but the wristbands make it an even better deal.

For example at Mam Stella's, I like to get the Sampler Platter, which includes penne pasta with Marinara Sauce, Eggplant Parmesan, Cannelloni (spinach and sausage) and a bread stick. The normal price is about $11.99. With the wristband, you can get this AND a side or dessert AND a drink every time that you go through the line. So while some entrees may seem like they have a side with them, they count as just an entree. And yes, you get one entree, one side or dessert and one drink every time you go through the line.

I also find the food at Sea World to be among the best of the various parks here in So. Cal. (especially when comparing it with other parks Counter Service). Although, Disneyland is catching up in quality with their menu revamps.

Also, passholders save 10% off the price of the wristbands.
