Food at Pop?

We ate at the food court one night and one lunch. Found it to be acceptable...but I wouldn't rate it any higher than that

I remember nuggets, spaghetti & mac & cheese for the kids meals (there were some other choices too). The menu included fast food basics (hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza) along with some soups & pasta with alfredo sauce which was pretty good (couldn't finish it all though). It seems like they try to offer a little bit of everything.

The food there isn't bad. However, we really liked their regular size pizza. We were pleasantly surprised when it was seasoned well and even good cold the next morning. Their food is nothing special. It's just the basic counter service but it doesn't taste bad.

I've had some surprising decent meals at Pop.

The salmon with wildrice was very good and asian shrimp noodles was also good.

herc.

The chicken ceasar salad was huge and good. the frozen cokes are a nice treat in the refillable mugs. The dessert area has milk shakes and ice cream cones as well as brownies, cheesecake and other fine desserts. It is a well stocked food court with alot of variety. I wouldn't eat there for every meal but 2-3 times during our trip was good.

The food at Pop is quite good and there's a nice variety. Prices are quite reasonable by WDW standards (though you might still gasp when you compare the prices to similar stuff at home!)

I personally think the quality of the food is better at the All-Star resort food courts; the menus are very similar to Pop, but I think the quality at the All-Stars is outstanding.

But you'll enjoy the offerings at Pop. The only real complaint I have about Pop is that the food court always seems to be MOBBED during the busy breakfast hours; it's very hard to get a table because of the crowds. But if you eat at an off-time, it's not so bad.

We have stayed at Pop many time however, not really have eaten there. We LOVE the food area at CSR. If you have a car you could drive over and you'll see what I mean.

My husband, 11 DD and I just returned from a week’s stay at Pop Century Resort. We had a wonderful vacation at this resort. Pop Century is fun and offers everything a family on a budget could ask for. The magical express service from the airport to the hotel was very efficient and very much appreciated. The cast members and the mouse keeping staff were all very helpful and did an excellent job. The food court was crowded but we never had a problem getting food or a table. Here are my compliants (and I have already written a letter):

1. The bus transportation to the parks is terrible. Pop has too many guests to only have one bus coming every 20 minutes. I feel that I spent a third of my vacation waiting for buses only to find there is standing room only.

2. The dining plan is NOT convenient anymore since tips are not included. Bring cash to avoid the confusion!

3. My third compliant was the most embarrassing I’ve ever experienced on any vacation. The magical express service back to the airport from the resort is terrible. Since we were flying Delta, we took advantage of the airline check in thinking we would save time and hassle. Boy, were we wrong! We waited in line over an hour to check bags. Then the bus comes. The driver gets off the bus and starts helping the other guests (the ones that couldn’t use the airline check in) to load their bags. Since we had already checked our bags, we assumed that we could go aboard the bus. Then a very rude cast member yells at my husband to get off the bus and tells him to get in the back of the line! I had to explain to him that we had already waited in line to load our bags why should we have to wait for all the other guests to load their too? He finally let us on but not until everyone on the bus thought we were line breakers.

Not a bad selection, but I found the other values to be a little better. The usual stuff, burgers, pizza, some Asian, fruit, regular breakfast meals, eggs, pancakes, french toast, pastries - that sort of thing. Pretty good choice for a value resort.:)
