We have made reservations to Planet Hollywood since we got a $15 coupon to eat there with our Disney reservation. It got pretty bad reviews on here when I was looking at DTD. Is the food that bad? Be honest! TIA! Where do you eat at DTD?

We always do Planet Hollywood. I don't think it's that bad. We also do Rainforest Cafe. Love it. We are going next week and are going to do T-Rex. Heard it got great reviews at the opening the other day.

DH has never been to Planet Hollywood. So I'm curious about the food and such as well. I haven't been there in years.

I have never had a bad meal at Planet Hollywood but there are always mixed reviews. It's a fun place, sometimes noisy but my kids love it!

I think the food at Planet Hollywood is average. On the same level as anything you would get able to get at a Chili's or Applebee's or TGI Friday's. It not bad but nothing special.

It's not a place I would run back to given all the other options at Disney World but we did it because of a coupon and didn't end up hating it. It is LOUD, though.

We have only been there once and it was back in '96. I had the veggie pizza and it was good. DH & DDs hated their food. We haven't been back because their meals were so bad.

We've never done the one at DTD. We have them in Chicago and went to the one in Vegas and they were both overpriced for mediocre food. So we skip it at DTD, along with Rainforest Cafe which is another one with mediocre food and overpriced. But kids love both places (thankfully, we don't have our kids traveling with us anymore so we can skip them).

It's not somewhere I'd go out of my way to eat at, but they have yummy Cap'n Crunch chicken fingers, and they've always had a particuarly good Caesar salad (and I remember that being the case over 15 years ago when I went to the one in NYC for the first time)

We've gone for each of the last 3 trips and had a great meal each time! DH loves the LA Lasagna (it's rich & heavy, but he loves it) I've had the salmon, the ribeye both really good. Kids have enjoyed it as well! Desserts are fantastic  DH & DS love the banana split creme brulee and DD & I love the Ghiradelli double chocolate brownie sundae :worship:

It is loud in there, but makes it relaxed for kids :rolleyes1 TV's and big movie screens all over the place showing movie clips, trivia, etc. Tons & tons of TV & Movie memorbillia throughout the restaurant. Take time after eating to check out all 3 floors :thumbsup2

I always enjoy the food there. Its not going to be a gourmet experience (or a quiet and relaxed one), but its fun for what it is.

Try the texas toastadas and the chicken crunch!

I really enjoyed the food there. THe lasagna is fantastic (it's fried). Everyone in my family was very pleased with the food. hope this helps.

Mmmmmmmm, I love the LA Lasagna! I always hit Planet Hollywood, I love the entergetic atmosphere! The last time we went, my DF had a steak, and he said it was the best of the trip! :thumbsup2

The atmosphere is really fun, the food is average. About the same you would get at a TGI Fridays or Applebee's. It is Extremely overpriced though!!

not bad just ordinary. we all enjoyed our meals but the portions were small and it wasn't anything i couldn't have made at home. i like dinner to be more of an event. i wouldn't go there again as there are many other options in DTD. i haven't tried the other restaurants there yet but i love earl of sandwich even though it isn't a restaurant.

Another vote for LA Lasagna and Capt. Crunch chicken fingers!

DW and I haven eaten here frequently on our trips to Disneyworld. The food is not the best but definitely not bad. It is usually pretty easy for us to get in without a wait, which is usually why we always end up eating here. I do like looking at all of the movie props so it keeps me amused and entertained :goodvibes

The short and quick of it is that we really enjoyed our experience here in September.

I wouldn't say its bad... Its like Applebee's or TGIFriday's to me.

our only problem, and i am surprised no one has mentioned it yet, is that the tables are right on top of each other. having said that, the comfort food items are more than satisfactory and of course there is a lot of rubbernecking to be done.
