Hooray - I leave Saturday for a week at the Food and Wine Festival. I have booked a wine pairing and a Lunch and Learn. (And we're doing the Segway Tour! ::yes:: ) What other activities at the Food and Wine Festival, now that it is nearing its end, and everyone has had a chance to go, MUST I do?

Thanks, in advance!!

My DH and I tried the Wine Walkabout in Australia for the first time last weekend and it was lots of fun and lots of wine. I'm a bit of a lightweight, so I liked that for $6 you get a "passport" and you can come and go throughout the day until you've tried all their wines. If I had to drink them all in one visit, I would have been in bad shape! Anyway, they had a good selection of very tasty wines and the presenters at each booth were very knowledgeable and funny. It's definitely worth the $6!

Have fun!

I am interested in more information on the wine walkabout, anyone have details?

I did it last year, although I think it was $5 then. You pay your entry fee and are handed a "passport" then you walk from station to station hear a little about three or four wines from each region in Australia and choose one to try. They pour you a taste and stamp your passport. Once all of the pages in your passport are stamped, you are done.

It only takes 15 minutes or so. You spend a couple of minutes at each station while they explain the area of Australia that it comes from, type of wine & then give you a sample. Last year we did this. It was fun & we learned a little about Australian wine. Inside of Germany they also have a wine testing place. We tried the sweet white wines - delicious!

We did the party for the senses on Oct 16th. This was some of the best money spent at Disney. A truly unique experience. There are some great pix and reviews at allearsnet.com. There was also a post recently (maybe on the restaurant board) with the menu from another night (I believe they change it each time). The food and wines are superb and so are the Cirque du Soleil performers. If you would like some pix pm me and I can show you our ofoto album.

What to do at F&W????

EAT!!! :p oh yeah....and make sure someone ELSE is doing the driving at the end of the night! :teeth:
