When do they open up and start serving at the booths? Do they open the WS early or does it not get going until 11am?
The "Festival Marketplaces" (the booths) are open he same hours at World Showcase — 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.

But this one is simple to predict... every Saturday... price... no less than $95 pp, but likely more...
Actually, if The Party for the Senses were going to be every Saturday (like last year), I think that the dates would be listed. There must be some reason that they didn't simply publish the dates of every Saturday during the Festival — especially considering that they published the dates of the other events.

A few years ago, we were at a Party for the Senses on a Friday because there was a private event in the World Showplace facility on Saturday.

In addition to the possibility that there's a conflict on one or more Saturdays, it's also possible that there could be more than one Party for the Senses some weeks — not probable, just possible.

What about DDE members? Dont we get early booking rights? :confused3
As far as I know DDE members don't get early booking rights, nor do they get discounts.

DDE members get mail with the event calendar and the date that bookings begin. In the early years of the F&W Festival, DDE members had an advantage because the rest of us didn't know when bookings would begin or what the events would be. But now that this information is available on the Web, DDE members don't have the advantage that they once did.

DDE members used to get early booking but that was discontinued.

If you go to the Party of the Senses can you see Illuminations? Also, is it difficult to go solo?

Thanks everyone!

I went solo last year and it wasn't a real problem. The only problem I had was that I didn't get to sit down and eat since there are fewer "sitting" spots then people and most people get there and "hold" their table so I didn't have anyone to "hold" my table. I just perched at the standing tables.

That's why if I go this year I am going to look for some other solos going my night! We can take turns holding the spaces. (My long term boy friend would not really enjoy this so I am not going to try to get him to come why waste $100!)

Sorry, I missed it earlier in the thread.

I agree with the question on the dates for Party. I figure it's probably MOST Saturdays, but maybe not all. (The whole thing has a lot of dates to be determined)

I want to see the Deen boys... Wonder if I could book a trip for thier presentation? LOL!

The write up does say "each" Saturday. Don't know why the dates aren't there, but I would think that "each" Saturday would mean every one. Hope so for my planning.

"This popular venue takes place each Saturday at the World ShowPlace located between Canada and United Kingdom Pavilions. You’ll begin this memorable evening with reserved seating at a performance of the Eat to the Beat Concert.

From 6:30 to 9:00pm, you’ll be sampling the culinary creations of 25 renowned chefs and over 70 great beers and wines. Each tasting station will be a new sensation for the senses.

This year's Party For the Senses features entertainment from Cirque du Soleil's La Nouba.

6:30 - 9:00pm

Dates and Price to be announced"

I have a question for all the F&WF vets. I am a F&WF newbie and want to try to maximize my time at the F&WF. Should I go there right at 9am or ride Soarin', Mission Space, and TT right at 9?

Food and Wine events are listed in the Future Showcase building, but I dont know how that part works - I do know they host free events, wine tastings... not sure when the sign ups begin, but I believe they are daily.

The rest of the F&W events we talk about are located in World Showcase, which doesnt open until 11 am... and you do get a great samplings walking around and eating at the booths that are set up outside - and if you are on the Dining Plan, the snack credits are accepted at these booths!! They have a menu board posted by the start of the line, and there is a DDP logo next to the entrees that you can use the dining plan!!

Party for the Senses is just once a week, and is a special ticketed 'adult' event $95 per person last year on Sat from 6-9:30 I believe...

 I hope to meet Dis'ers if we get to go!!

Last year I read on the boards how hard it was to get a seat, I was almost paranoid, and the front tables were filled - but in the back, the "blue" section, all the way in the back (and there was food, wine, and Remy Martin back there too!! :goodvibes ) There were several empty tables - so my tip would be to head to the back, hopefully they'll have the same amount of tables!!

Last year we were fortunate to run into a couple at some tastings that went to the Party, it was a pleasure to meet up with "friends we've never met" from the Dis!!

I have been to Disney so many times but never during the Food and Wine Festival....could you all share your experiences with me. I am not thinking I will be one for taking a lunch n learn or anything like that....probably just more sampling the foods and wines. Tell me about it???? Must do's Must sees!??!!?? THANKS

I've only been to the F&WF once before, 8 years ago and I only had half a day. Due to our schedule we'll only have three partial days at the event and so far, the list posted on wdwinfo only has two events we can do, and only one that really interests us (well, except for the idea of eating our way around the countries every day!!!).

So tell me, will Disney publish the free events in advance? Do you need to sign up for these?

Any and all information is much appreciated -- as are the people that added the wdwinfo link in the first place!!!

In the past most of the free events have been "first come first served" On the weekends that means you need to line up EARLY, but on weekdays its generally not quite so bad.

Here's a question:

We've got ADRs for Le Cellier on 11/3 that were booked 180 days out. Now it looks like Le Cellier is having a food/wine pairing event that night. Does anybody know if we'd still be OK with our ADR (which I believe if for ~5:30-6:30), or will Disney start bumping people who had ADRs in favor of the wine pairing guests. I don't know if the entire restaurant is reserved for the event, or they still serve full menu?

Sure, I guess I can always call Disney (which I'll do later when I'm off work), but I was wondering if anybody had any first hand input? Thanks in advance.

Le Cellier will have a Food & Wine Pairing from 2:30 - 4:00 p.m. (or perhaps 3:00 - 4:30 p.m.) on November 3. So there will be no conflict with your ADR ("~5:30-6:30").

Even of you had an ADR at the same time as the Food & Wine Pairing, there would not be a problem. While 10-15% or so of Le Cellier is being used for the Pairing, the rest of the restaurant is "business as usual."

By the way, Le Cellier does not have a private room for events like this, so they set up a long table right through the middle of the restaurant.
