Hello!

When the food and wine festival is on, it is running every day, ie are the various food vendors there every day or is it only on weekends? I was assuming every day but now I am second guessing myself.

Thank you

Keep in mind that on weekends it can get CRAZY crowded, especially on Fri and Sat evenings :-)

Thank you !!! We are planning on going to Epcot on a Thursday then the following Wednesday :0) so hopefully crowds will be good

Oh boo, we get there the 11th :sad2: guess I'll have to plan for 2015 now!
Thanks!!

The official Epcot Food and Wine festival Facebook page is listing Sept 27 to Nov 11 as of today (Jan 22) though that seems odd since it would be a Saturday start and a Tuesday finish.

The food kiosks that are represented by the different countries are opened every day.

There are various presenters, wine and food seminars, and and other events that change daily.

I am planning on going to F&W this year. Have you been to any of the presentations or seminars or events? Are they worth it?

We went to a culinary presentation this last year. It was one of the $15 ones. We went to a pastry demonstration and got a glass of wine to go with the dessert that was presented and sampled . My 13 year old daughter was given a choice of coke products as a beverage and I was given her wine. It was a lot of fun and I wish I had signed up for more than one, but was afraid we wouldn't enjoy it.

Thanks for the advice. Like you I want to sign up for quite a few of them but was worried I wouldn't enjoy them.

We've been to several of the seminars. At each seminar the dish being prepared was paired with either a wine or beer. The tasting portion of the dish was usually quite generous. At one demo the chef prepared a signature dessert from his restaurant in addition to the announced entree. You will also receive a printed copy of the recipe. The seminars lasted about 50-60 minutes.

We found that in general chefs from outside venues usually prepared dishes that were available at their restaurants. The Disney in house chefs, however, generally prepared personal favorites and not dishes from their restaurant.

Two years ago we attended the 3-D Dessert party and enjoyed it, but it sounded like last year's was a disappointment for many.

We've done the Kitchen Memories event with Buddy Valastro in 2012, as well as the Sweet Sundays with him in 2013. I thought both events were great! The price is a bit steep (I think Sweet Sundays was $99pp and the Kitchen Memories was $160pp), but it was well worth it. At the Sweet Sundays event, the pastry chef will prepare 3 of their specialty pastries and there is also a breakfast buffet before the event begins. The Kitchen Memories event features a chef who will cook an appetizer, entree and dessert for you. They also do wine/champagne pairing with each course of the meal.

Most of the signature events tend to sellout within the first few days of the seats being released (typically in mid-August).

We've also done the wine demos at the F&WF. It's a 45 minute seminar with a host vineyard from around the world. You're also able to sample 3 of the wines from the vineyard and the guest speaker discusses the history of the vineyard, what wines they produce, etc.

If you click on my Trip Report links in my signature, there are reviews and pictures from each!

I would love to sneak a peek too. It will be our first f&w! But I don't see the link in your signature.

Sure! :)

If you click on these titles on my signature it should bring you right to them!
