Hi guys,

Does any one know if you can use your snack cretits and the food and wine festival kiosks?

Many thanks for the help on this one.

Paul

You can use your snack credits at the kiosk, but not all food items are eligible for the credits. Only a select few are eligible. They usually tell you on the sign outside the kiosk.

For the past several years, snack credits could be used for any food or non-alcoholic beverage offering at the kiosks. There's no reason to think it will be any different in 2012.

Since about 2007 it has been ANY food or non-alcoholic beverage item, regardless of the cost of the item. Including the most expensive item, the lobster roll, which cost about $7.50. The only exemptions have been alcoholic beverages.

We used many of our SC last Oct on bites at the F&WF. The only food item that wasn't allowed as a SC was the Ice Cream with Grand Marnier on it at the Dessert booth. I'm assuming because it was alcoholic.

We had the QSDP so we had 2 SC each last year. It gave us a lot of SC to use. Now you only have 1 SC per person so if you want to maximize your SC usage there are some items you might want to pay OOP for. There were some items as cheap as $1.50 (also at the Dessert Booth)

I have a QSDP dining report with many photos of the food we ate at the F&WF last year. Click on link in siggy if you want to check it out.

We are thing of attending F&W this year. Looking forward to following this thread to get good ideas.

This is great info. I've been trying to find more infor on the ddp and the f&w fest. Good to know I can try new things with my snack credits since I probably wouldn't use them otherwise. :)

We used 18 snack credits in one evening eating our way around the world, it's a great value way of using them as some of the sample dishes can be upward of $5 , we plan to do the same this year!

WOW - I had never even considered this!! This is sure to help me convince DH to travel during food and wine festival! :thumbsup2!!

When we went, the Lobster Roll at the American Pavilion Kiosk was covered with 1 snack credit. That's an item that's priced over $7.
I would also disagree that only a select few plates were covered by snack credits, as previously posted above. I didn't encounter any food plate that was not covered by snack credits.

Our group had a great time. In fact, it was the highlight of our trip and we went twice. We plan to return at the same time, next time. There's also MNSSHP at MK going on at that time, and that is not to be missed.

Thank you I will have a gander at you dining report :) really looking forward to the f&w now i know I can use my snack credits.

Can the snack credits for my kids' dining plans also be used at F&W? My DS may be willing to try a few & wonder if he can use his credits.

I would say your child can get the food plates with them. I couldn't think of any reason why not.

A snack credit is a snack credit - there is no distinguishing at all between an adult snack credit and a child snack credit.

And now that free DDP has been announced through Sept 29th you can get free dining in time to use at F&WF. :goodvibes

We plan on it.

We also plan on eating our way around the Worlds again this year. October is the perfect time of year at WDW. I hope they bring back the crab patty at the the American San Adams kiosk. :hippie::cool1::hippie:

Crab patties sound yummy, i'm really looking forward to the F&W festival now :) not long to go till our two weeks in DIsney
