...go to the Cape May Cafe Clam Bake for dinner the night we will be in EPCOT? We will be arriving October 22nd and plan to do EPCOT all day that day. I am not too familiar with the Food and Wine Festival, but is a TS dinner really neccessary at EPCOT when they have this event?

Thanks so much!

What part of the festival do you intend to do, just the food booths? If so, make the circuit of World Showcase early and share the samples in order to try as many as possible. Then, if you want TS dinner, have one.

You could graze on the samples all day, too, but be advised they're not cheap.

Well I can tell ya that when we do the F&W we like to snack from 11-2, we share a lot of the foods and then we do a nice dinner around 6:30. Cape May is perfect!

We never really plan to eat our entire dinner at the Food and Wine Festival. Since the crowds get heavier at night, we do what MickeyNicki does and snack for lunch and then have something else for dinner.

Doing Cape May will be great since you just have to exit through the International Gateway and then return right back to Epcot when you are done.

NO!!!! We checked in last Sept 29th on the last day of Bounceback Free Dining, so we had free dining for our entire trip. One day we decided to 'graze' around the World Showcase, using our snack credits for the more expensive items and paying OOP for the cheaper ones. I told my husband we would get only one (maybe two:rolleyes1) small items at each booth. He nearly panicked and said only one or two bites at each country and he'd still be starved by the time we got around. Wrong!! We started on the Canadian side and headed toward Mexico. By the time we got that lobster roll at the American pavilion, we just looked at it and neither of us really wanted it. He looked at me and said, "Please tell me we don't have to eat somewhere tonight." I told him that if we did he was eating by himself, then got on the phone and canceled our ADR for that night. The next day we did it again, but started in Mexico and headed around toward Canada. We made it as far as Japan again, so the only countries we repeated were America and Japan. We also canceled our ADR for that night. Those little bites add up quickly and you are stuffed before you know it. Each day we finished at the F&W Festival around 3:00pm, but were full until the next morning.

It really depends on how much you intend to eat at the booths. DH and I don't try something at each booth. We just get what we really think sounds good. We each have three or four samples around lunch time and are more than ready for dinner by 7:00 or so. You could certainly make a meal or more out of the booths but we prefer our dinner to be sitting down and relaxing
