I wasn't sure where to post this, I figured this was the best place.
My little cousin is allergic to milk, eggs and nuts. She can have soy milk, but her allergies prevent her from eating a lot of stuff. All my cousins and I want to take a trip to the World but we want to stay on site. So to do this we want to make sure that my cousin can enjoy herself and not feel left out because of food. I know Disney can cater to allergies, but milk, eggs and nuts cancels out a lot. Can Disney help us?

Contact Disney Special Diets. You can find the contact information on the DisABILITIES board.

We took our cousin with the same allergies. No issue at all, Disney was awesome. We emailed them with his restrictions last time. The chef walked us around at the buffets, like Chef Mickey's and pointed out what he could and could not eat. Disney is awesome with food allergies!

There is tons of info about food allergies on the DISabilities forum. DS has food allergies to soy, eggs, dairy, peanuts and tree nuts. They will stick to a pretty whole foods approach, but they will take care of your cousin. They have many options and will do whatever they can. DS has only eaten restaurant food at WDW. He eats no food in regular restaurants.

A chef will come out to your table, either show you what is okay on the buffet or make up a special meal that is safe. Though we eat at buffets at WDW, because of DS's allergy set and severe reactions, HE cannot eat from buffets because of x-contamination. The chef will prepare a meal for him in a safe part of the kitchen. For counter service meals, a manager will discuss options with the parent, etc.

Good luck and don't stress about it! That's coming from a mom that has seen her child lifeless in her arms and brings all her kids food anywhere we go! WDW will take care of her! One of the main reasons we are going back to WDW, so DS can eat at a restaurant:cloud9:

Also, Babycakes NYC is a bakery at Downtown Disney that will be safe for her. They have breads, cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and donuts. I can't wait for May when DS will get to pick something out at a bakery! He has never done that before!

I would suggest going to the disABILITIES Forum and look at Post #3 of the disABILITIES FAQs. There is a large section in that post dealing with special dietary needs, as well as many related links. You can get directly to the disABILITIES FAQs by following the link in my signature.

This is a very common topic of discussion in the disABILITIES Forum.
