Hi Beverly!
I sent you a post a few days ago concerning Airtran flights and their ticket prices. We did purchase our tickets and ended up paying $259.50 per ticket. Alot more than what I wanted to pay but the lowest fare had already sold out and I was getting nervous that this price would too sell out. To refresh your memory we are flying out on Dec. 13 and back on Dec. 20 to do the 7 day land and sea package. The flight back on the 20th is why the fare went up and I can only guess because it's so close to x-mas.
You had said in my previous post that when they detailed the flight they would probably come out with some really good sale fares and if they did you might have a way you could help me to get that fare. Well my question now is just a few days ago Airtran released fares from our hometown to Orlando the same flight we're taking in December and the sale fare was only $158 roundtrip!!! Now this sale was only good for travel through Sept 30 but I have a feeling in the next month or so knowing my luck they will offer our travel dates at a similiar rate. I guess my question is now if our dates go down like lets say for a sale fare to something similiar to this rate how would we be able to get that after we've already booked the tickets?
In the previous post you made it sound like with the detailed flights we might be able to get money back. Or would it just be a voucher? We probably won't be traveling with Airtran anytime soon after December as we usually only fly them for Florida and probably won't be taking another trip to the World for a while as this will be our 2nd trip this year so we may be waiting another year or two before we return. I guess I'm just curious as to how we would be able to get the lower fare because I know when talking to Airtan previously they said they don't offer vouchers or money back on already purchased flights. But believe me I'm familiar with how none of the agents there know much anyway- the last time I went to book our flights the agent tried to tell me they did'nt fly out of our hometown twice and I told her well we just flew out in April and I was just on the website getting prices. She was pronouncing our towns name wrong and I corrected her each time until the 4th time she finally got it!!
I know you get alot of questions on here and I really do appreciate your offer of help and your willingness to help so many others on these boards!
Thanks and hope you have a great day!!!
