Hi Beverly!

I sent you a post a few days ago concerning Airtran flights and their ticket prices. We did purchase our tickets and ended up paying $259.50 per ticket. Alot more than what I wanted to pay but the lowest fare had already sold out and I was getting nervous that this price would too sell out. To refresh your memory we are flying out on Dec. 13 and back on Dec. 20 to do the 7 day land and sea package. The flight back on the 20th is why the fare went up and I can only guess because it's so close to x-mas.

You had said in my previous post that when they detailed the flight they would probably come out with some really good sale fares and if they did you might have a way you could help me to get that fare. Well my question now is just a few days ago Airtran released fares from our hometown to Orlando the same flight we're taking in December and the sale fare was only $158 roundtrip!!! Now this sale was only good for travel through Sept 30 but I have a feeling in the next month or so knowing my luck they will offer our travel dates at a similiar rate. I guess my question is now if our dates go down like lets say for a sale fare to something similiar to this rate how would we be able to get that after we've already booked the tickets?
In the previous post you made it sound like with the detailed flights we might be able to get money back. Or would it just be a voucher? We probably won't be traveling with Airtran anytime soon after December as we usually only fly them for Florida and probably won't be taking another trip to the World for a while as this will be our 2nd trip this year so we may be waiting another year or two before we return. I guess I'm just curious as to how we would be able to get the lower fare because I know when talking to Airtan previously they said they don't offer vouchers or money back on already purchased flights. But believe me I'm familiar with how none of the agents there know much anyway- the last time I went to book our flights the agent tried to tell me they did'nt fly out of our hometown twice and I told her well we just flew out in April and I was just on the website getting prices. She was pronouncing our towns name wrong and I corrected her each time until the 4th time she finally got it!!

I know you get alot of questions on here and I really do appreciate your offer of help and your willingness to help so many others on these boards!
Thanks and hope you have a great day!!!;) :D ;) :D ;) :D ;)

Are you out there Beverly Lynn? I checked my pm's just in case and nothing so maybe you just have'nt seen my post. I'll bump this up again.:)

they give you a confirmation nbr just like your reservation nbr. they build a "PNR" for you with all of your info in it with the amount of the credit that you may use on your next flight. you unforytunately would have to call the nbr thats associated with the websight and speak to one of their agents. they would have to give you the credit. be very careful when you speak to them because they could just cancel your ressie altogether. they have been known to do that. they did it to a friend of Deb K's and I had to go and reinstate the entire thing and I gave them the refund in the fare difference and I also upgraded them to business class. yes keep an eye on the fares they should be going down soon. and it will more than likely be in the same class of svc you are already holding. all they have to do is reprice the PNR and it should come up. the res dept has a different computer system that they work on than the airport. in fact there are so many things that res can't access. 9 out of 10 people that fly HP (air Tran) purchase their tkts on the web! and res has no clue on those fares either........

Thanks so much for your reply!

I guess what you're saying is that we will only be able to get a voucher for future travel. Is that what you meant?

If this makes a difference I did not book the tickets online. I actually called the 800 number and booked them through an agent. But, I don't like the ticketless travel it makes me really nervous so I asked them if they could send me a confirmation letter of the tickets with times etc. and they said they could no longer do any mailings but they could e-mail or fax them to me. I had them e-mailed and it does have the confirmation number on it along with everything else I was wanting.

I'm sorry I'm not up on all the air terminology so if I've totally confused what you were trying to tell me I apologize. Are you saying that if the fares go down and I call an agent they can reprice my ticket and refund my credit card with a PNR? Sorry I don't know what that is and it probably is irrelevant but if I can rebook on the same flight and get the immediate difference in sale fare versus a voucher that's what I'd want of course. Like I said we probably won't be using Airtran anytime close enough in the future for me to take advantage of a voucher.

Thanks again for all of your help!:)
