The smaller boats that travel between BLT and Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge, can you take a folded wheelchair on them? A few years ago we took his rollator and that was no problem, but a wheel chair is bigger.

Our trip is in Dec, I'm hoping Fort Wilderness guests put up decorations again and walking around that much just isn't possible anymore.

I know in the past, the boats between WL and Fort Wilderness alternated between the large boats that are wheelchair/ECV accessible and the smaller boats.
I think it would be difficult to bring a folded wheelchair on - the typical rental wheelchair is around 40-50 pounds and kind of clumsy to lift and move.

Yeah... I agree completely. You can take the bus (not as much fun, I know! between WL & FW, however and that's guaranteed to be w/c friendly!

Thank you. Just trying to plan ahead. DH is uneasy with travel and if I can say, I'm pretty sure we can do this or that, it will make it easier for him.

I didn't even think of the weight. Just was wondering about space on boat.

Yeah, sometimes we took the boat just for fun and went from point to point. Only got off when there was a lot of people waiting.
