Has anyone taken a foldable wagon rather than a stroller into St. Maarten and St. Thomas?
We are planning a Bernards tour and a day at Magens Bay.

My 6.5 year old just suffered a fracture and is currently going through medical tests for his bone health, so we need to be extra careful with him. He will likely use his wheelchair on the ship but it is not very foldable or easy to drag on the sand and I think he would be embarrassed to use a stroller.

Thanks for your help!

I would think a wagon to be a much bumpier ride than a stroller in ports. Maybe it varies by brand but our folding wagon is much heavier than our special needs stroller, as well, so I couldn't imagine trying to bring that on an airplane but maybe you aren't flying to get there. Could you rent a special needs stroller for him? At Castaway Cay there are beach wheelchairs with large wheels that roll in the sand better than a regular chair or stroller; there are also regular wagons available at CC. I'm just thinking a wagon pulled along the streets/sidewalks in port is going to be a very uncomfortable ride for him unless you drag along a lot of padding as well.

Enjoy your cruise!

Wagons are on the list of prohibited items. You will have to use a stroller or wheelchair.

That was my thought. If his bone health is being questioned and examined, I personally would think a bumpy wagon would NOT be the way to go. Even if it wasn't on the list of prohibited items.
