Just wondering your thoughts on this book. Is it accurate with the WDW information? For instance, it talks about when to go to what park, etc. Should I take heed or just do it "my way"?

:flower:

I was reading it tonight (I got it at the library) and they seem pretty general in their suggestions. Such as to do MK later in the week (not on weekends), and MGM and Epcot early in the week.
Personally I like the Unofficial Guide much better :cool1:

For the price of that relatively generic book, you could subscribe to TourGUideMike and have an absolutely fabulous time. Much more timely information done by a guy who's in the park every single day giving VIP tours. You'll get information specifically tailored to your interests. Highly recommended!

I agree with the Unofficial Guide vote...also Passporter and www.allearsnet.com. Very up to date and extremely informative. Fodor's also seemed very crabby and cynical when I read through it, but that may just be me with my Minnie shaped glasses... :)

That's funny - I reserved mine at the library too.

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts -- very much appreciated.

I have it but haven't opened it yet. I got it from the library. I find the unofficial guide really well done. It is a really good read but I would like to see more pictures.

Personally, I would suggest the following:

* Get the Unofficial Guide from the library both way before your trip, write down some info from it. Then rent it again from the library and take it with you on the trip.
* Get the Passporter before you go from Amazon.com.
* Get the Official Guide to keep at home for the pictures and quick reference.

I like all three guides. I will tell you once I read my Fodor's guide but I have a feeling that it will be very general because it includes Universal as well..

I borrowed a number of Disney guide books from the library. I quickly returned Fodor's, Birnbaums, and Walt Disney World for Dummies. The ones I'm still reading (and making notes from) are the Unofficial Guide and Frommer's - but I like the UG the best.

I was thinking the same thing as I was reading it last night... we must have the same glasses :rotfl:

My fav is Passporter which you can purchase at http://passporter.com/. I also really enjoy the Unofficial Guide especially for information on the resorts. It is also good for a few laughs. I also enjoy Birnbaums for the information on rides, especially the new rides as well as the pictures. My children enjoy his guide for children. My son reads it and always comes up with a couple of tips that I didn't come across in any of my books.

Have fun doing your research!

Another vote here for the Unofficial Guide and the PasPorter. They work very well together. I have Birenbaums also, but am not impressed with it. I also have both the Official and Unofficial Guides for adults. They are OK, but if I was only going to buy one guide book it would be the Unofficial Guide.

Thank you all sooooooooooo much for your input. I went to the website for the PassPorter and I'm not sure what exactly it is. Can someone explain it better for me please? I will wait till the 2006 book comes out, but I'd like to know what it is first.

Thanks.
