I've got unusual dietary restrictions due to intolerance - generally known as a FODMAP diet. The biggest issues are no garlic, and no onion, and no fructose. We'll probably go to a table service place a couple/few times, but generally just grab stuff at the counter serve places. Anybody else have suggestions for similar restrictions?
 
I can't help you specifically with your issue, but I would be more concerned about you finding choices at counter service places -- the food is mostly pre-prepared and they can only make small adjustments/substitutions. You should have many more choices and success at table service restaurants. Counter service is usually great for really popular allergies/intolerances such as gluten, nuts, soy, dairy, but I'm not sure if they're equipped to handle less common issues such as no fructose. Garlic & onion shouldn't be too big of a concern I don't think. I would email special diets and ask them about how to handle your intolerances.
