Did anyone else get a call regarding a DVC focus group?

I live on Long Island, NY and got a call today from a company saying that they were holding a focus group for DVC members on the 14th. I said I would attend but now I'm wondering if I should be nervous about it being some kind of a scam... They said I'd get paid $100 for my time which is about right for most focus groups I've done for other companies in the past.

You can always contact DVC to make sure it is legit. Send an email to member satisfaction so that they can research and respond.

It might be true, i just recieved a random survey in the email from dvc.

I just received a similar call, for a DVC focus group meeting in Sunnyvale CA on Monday November 7 at 8PM. I would have liked to attend, but this time conflicts with a Sharks game.

I suspect these focus groups are legitimate
The new DVC management might want feedback on current problems or future ideas

I got a voice mail for a DVC focus group here in Chicago for 11/11. I didn't call back because I can't take off work to go.

They called me back today to says that the qualifications changed and that I will not be eligible for this group. They asked if I would be interested on staying on the list in case DVC does a second group.

I also got this call today for a focus group in 3 days. Kind of short notice and it's 8-10 pm on a school night! I wish it had been at a more convenient time, might have been fun!

As an aside, I am on the call/email list for several local marketing/research companies. I did a group a few months ago - it was two 2 hour sessions testing and critiquing an indulgent new line of Philly cream cheese desserts and spreads. I got paid $275. Probably the easiest money I've ever made.

I'll be attending one Thursday night in the Chicago area. I don't know if it meant much but they said DVC was interested in "male perspectives" for this focus group. Same deal, $100 for ~2 hours.

I don't know if DVC was looking for "male perspectives" for the focus group I could not attend in Sunnyvale, but scheduling in conflict with Monday Night Football will skew results
