Focus Dailies Contact Lenses to Give Away

I know this isn't Disney related, but if you could use these contacts, you could save the money you would have spent for Disney...

I bought Focus Dailies contact lenses and just cannot wear them. I have about 140 pair and would like to give them to someone (i just request postage to mail them.)

Here are the details (although I do admit, I have no idea what the numbers mean):

-3.75 8.6 CT 0.100 DIA 13.8 Exp. 05/2005 and 06/2005
-2.50 8.6 CT 0.100 DIA 13.8 Exp. 04/2009

I wear them but am blind compared to you! lol

Did you purchase these from an eye doctor? (versus wal-mart or lenscrafters) My eye dr takes back contacts that I have left when my vision changes and uses them as trial pairs. If any of the boxes are unopened I would inquire about returning them.

Same here. -7.50 in both eyes. But use -7.00 in one eye for monovision. I hope you can get your money refunded, but if you can't it's really nice of you to offer them to another DIS'er.

I match one eye but I'm hoping to have lasik in the next couple of months, sucks too because that's the brand I wear now. I suggest maybe putting any unopened boxes up on ebay. Do each prescription as a separate auction and explain all details, I know it sounds weird but I have seen them sell before. Besides even $5.00 is $5.00 towards Disney right?

Argh! I have almost the same! Mine's an 8.3 and 14.0. One of those things, though that have to be just right! Thanks for the offer.

Sorry, I think I have you all beat at -10.00 and -12.ish! I just switched to new day/night lenses and they are so "healthy" (allowing more Oxygen in), that my eyes have healed and gone back to their "normal" state...which is a worse perscription than I used to have! (But same as I had way back when...) So healthy eyes, but more blindness! Go figure!

I tried putting unopened boxes of contacts on Ebay but since they are a prescription they are not allowed on Ebay. They will close your auction down before it even gets started....Wish I could use the contacts, but my RX is only -75.

Could you donate them to the Lions Club? They're always collecting eyeglasses to give to needy folks, maybe they would take them. If not, have you tried returning them? My eye doctor mistakening gave me the wrong prescription one time and when I finally realized it (after wearing the first pair) she exchanged the remaining ones for fresh boxes.

Thanks for the replies. The eBay thing is out. Not allowed. I called my eye doc (unfortunately I purchased the online somewhere - can't remember where now) to see if there was some way to donate them, but they weren't aware of anywhere. I had a request for the 3.75's, but have not heard back yet. The 2.5's are still available.

you can sell them at ebay.de there is no problem doing this cause you can buy them here without prescription.
