FOB - Inspired by the GD Thread

Honestly, I know there are like a THOUSAND people on this thread that LOVE Fall Out Boy (I, not being one of them)
but who HONESTLY, listened to them before they came out with their newest album & Sugar We're Going Down Swinging?
i want the truth.
i did, except.. it was one song. Dead On Arrival. amazing song. i liked Sugar We're Going Down before most people in my city.. but it didn't last long and the music after that wasn't quite appealing.

I'd heard about them and I listened to a few songs to see if I liked them. I really didn't. Then the got Dance Dance and From underneath the cork tree with Sugar and all of a sudden, everyone's a HUGE fan. when asked what they listened to, "sugar &dance dance" and MAYBE "a little less sixteen candles a little more touch me" but thats pretty rare. I honestly dont care if you like fall out boy (I really dont) but if you're gonna talk music with someone, know what youre talking about.

i saw them when they had their second album out..about 2 years before "Sugar, were goin down"...i like them but their alittle to pop for me..

I'm being TOTALLY honest the first time I heard about them someone had them on their signature so when I saw the 'Sugar, Were Going Down' video I thought they were REALLY good. So I got into them and listen to them, and I kinda like the old music better, in my opion even though I only heard about them when 'From under then cork tree' came out.

I had liked 'Dead on Arrival' and 'Grand Theft Autumn' before the new cd came out. I still like those two songs better than any song on this cd. (well, actually I like Sophomore Slump alot, but yeah...). I havent listened to the full album in such a long time...

I didn't listen to FOB until SWGDS. But since that tune has come out, it has opened me up to DOA, Chris, Out of all the Gin joints, Grand Theft Autumn, Dance Dance and more. I now have all of their music and went to their concerts.

They are a great band and Peter Wentz is a gifted artist that underestimates his abilities. If Peter can keep himself up, then the band will go on for years. But this man is at a very fragile state.

I don't think it's where you start but where you end up.

I liked Grand Theft Autumn before all the new stuff came out. But I never felt the need to look farther into their music because I never thought they were very talented.
