Anybody looking to fly from Flint to MCO? I just stumbled across a nonstop flight with NWA for $236.50 for Easter week. I didn't think that NWA had any nonstops from FNT to MCO. What a nice surprise!

Airfares have been really high for Easter week, so I'm tickled to get such a good rate for peak time. :teeth:

travelbug: I believe the non-stop flights start up around December 16th. Nice for me, I could get to fnt, park my car and be in the terminal in less then 20 minutes. Much better than going to DTW. Susan

Hi, Poohs Pal- I'm with you! I love flying out of FNT instead of DTW whenever the fares are cheaper. A lot less hassle, and not nearly as time-consuming. Usually my flights out of FNT have been connectors, so I'm thrilled to have this nonstop for a good price.

Thanks TravelBug for posting this. That's a very competitive price.

Can anybody share experiences in terms of security check wait times, parking , etc. at FNT.

Troy

Wow that is a great rate. Glad to see another carrier flying direct to MCO out of FNT. I go out of FNT now everytime we go to Orlando! The parking is a breeze. Parking lot is never full, the wait times are minimal (never waited more than 10 mins). And passing through security is very easy!! I would never hesitate to
fly out of Flint. It is great compared to DTW!! No crowds or hassles like in Detroit that is for sure!

TroyWDW- My experiences flying out of FNT have been the same as kaybee's. There's been little if any wait time checking in and going through security. I also love how easy it is to claim baggage after the flight too. It's a smaller quieter airport. Big difference from DTW!

Price update - The same flight went up to $309.50 by the next morning, so I'm glad I booked it right away. :D

Non stop Grand Rapids to Orlando also on NWA. Now I can be home in about four hours!! Super. Thanks Northwest.....

TroyWDW........
FNT is awesome. We flew in May of this year and had a wonderful experience. Security was good, but fairly smooth (as smooth as it can go with a DS5 and DS3!). Granted, we flew Delta, but all lines seemed to be consistent (flight left around 8am).

For us, the distance is about the same to FNT or DTW, but I prefer FNT, though I fly out of TOL if the rate is cheaper than DTW.

As for the rest...... I completely agree with Kaybee.
