Flylady

I always get a few emails at night..One is a did you shine your sink? The other is your small cleaning job for the next day and the other one is Go to bed!
And don't you feel like you just got caught misbehaving when she tells you to go to bed? LOL

You know what's good too? Her book, "Sink Reflections: Overwhelmed? Disorganized? Living in Chaos? The FlyLady's Simple FLYing Lessons Will Show You How to Get Your Home and Your Life in Order--and It All Starts with Shining Your Sink!

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0553382179/sr=8-1/qid=1140030313/ref=sr_1_1/103-6071720-7659824?%5Fencoding=UTF8

It's less overwhelming to read through the book at your own pace, sometimes, than getting bombarded with emails. Altho...I think I'm going to sign up for the emails again too. :)

Oh...and I recently bought my first (of many, I hope :)) pair of Crocs, and I just love that it's just so comfortable puttering around the house.

I am so excited to see a thread about Flylady. I absolutely love, love, love her. I highly recommend the site.

I had needed routines, I've always been one to declutter. But I would be someone to do marathon cleaning then burn myself out. I started her program in July, but in the last few weeks I am really getting it, and doing her program completely. It has been the healthiest and most wonderful program for me that I have ever done.

My house looks fabulous, I am stressed about it less, and things are coming together. I have to follow the program to the T, otherwise I start getting obsessive about cleaning again, and I burn out. So I do exactly as she writes it. And it has worked wonders.

Right now, the clutter I have left is the kind that is sentimental, or expensive. That's what is left. The surface clutter is gone. Now I have the big decision type stuff.

Anyway, I'm so excited to see other flybabies here. It is hard to do the cleaning during the day because I have two little ones.

I'm an insomniac and rarely go to be before 2 AM..I don't care what she tells me :confused3

It was really funny when I lived in San Diego and she was telling me to go to bed at 7 PM

Those were the ones I used to get at night but now, I'm getting most of them at night.:confused3

I might be making this way more complicated than it is.....do you have to have a Yahoo account to get the emails? Does it have to go to a Yahoo email?

Jenny :)

I don't have Yahoo so, it doesn't have to go through Yahoo e-mail.

I am getting them all in large clumps, sometimes the next day. They had a few emails about this, that the Flylady site was having some Yahoo issues, and were working to correct it. A lot of people got unsubscribed accidentally.

You do not need to have a yahoo address. I use a different email also.

Mine come to my AOL account

You can have any email service, doesn't have to be Yahoo. I just wanted to add that I too LOVE Flylady.

What I find interesting is that so many working women seem to have trouble with it, I need Flylady BECAUSE I work. If I wasn't at work 50 hours a week I wouldn't need my routines and 15 minute intervals for things. I guess everyone is different.

I think Flylady is the BEST thing ever for working moms!! I highly, highly recommend it!

That's what's happening to me with my msn account!

My Yahoo Challenged Brain figured it out!!! I signed up too
Thanks for your help!
Jenny :)

Mine is clean except under the bad,and my armoir could use some straightening up

I guess for the first time in my life I'm ahead of Flylady since yesterday I ran my Roomba in my bedroom and it cleaned under my bed and under my furniture. Yahoo!!!

I'm so glad you revived this topic. I was doing my detailed zone cleaning in the bedroom, finally!

Does anyone else have trouble getting rid of things? I have no trouble with basic clutter, and junk, but it's harder when it gets down to things like gifts or sentimental items. I know we are only supposed to keep things we absolutely love, but sometimes it's hard to get rid of other things, too.

Oh yeah! I wouldn't need FlyLady if I could let go of stuff on my own. I just saw tomorrow's bedroom closet/shoe mission and cringed. Okaaay, I can do this, 15 minutes at a time!
