Ok, I'll be the different one. I LOVE flying! I love airplanes. I love airports. Now, I don't like the hassles that have come with flying these days; I remember how much simpler it once was to board a plane. But the whole concept of flying in a plane? Love it. It's always been a dream of mine to get my pilot's license. I have flown a couple small planes before. Though, at this point, it doesn't look like I'll get that license anytime soon.
Having said that, I did once have a panic attack on a plane. I don't know what set it off since it was a calm flight, my kids were quiet and sleeping. I have been diagnosed with severe anxiety since then, however.

. I get that nervous butterfly-like feeling in my stomach that can quickly make me nauseous. At that point, my head starts moving faster and coming up with outrageous scenarios that will (hopefully) never happen. The xanax stops that.
She is a great distraction because I try not to show fear around her so that she will not grow up to have this fabulous fear that mommy has.
It was the best thing I ever did for myself = conquering that ongoing fear of flying that had plaqued me my whole life. After reading and posting on their forums for the better part of six months I really felt like I have this all under control. London was
I was done with worrying about every time someone planned a trip that involved flying I would immediately say "I CAN'T GO, I DON'T LIKE TO FLY".....well that has changed so much.
