Flying with walkie-talkies in checked bag

Anyone experiencing any problems with walkie-talkies in your checked bags? Really want them for keeping up with each other at the parks but I don't want to invest in them if I can't even take them! Stupid question but can you take them on board? (Thanks for bearing with me!)

I didn't have a problem a week ago. Had 2 walkie-talkies and 2 cell phones in my carry on.

Never a problem. Just a tip--take the batteries out. My radios have a habit of turning themselves on if there is pressure against the on switch. I would not want my luggage talking to anyone. We carried on our cell phone and my grandson's gameboy, along with a couple of hundred pins to trade.
